Five Month Update
This last week Katelyn had her five month birthday. She is getting very big and is constantly learning new things. At her four month doctor's appointment she weighed 14 lbs. 15 oz. (75% for weight) and was 26 inches long (95% for height). The doctor said that she should be sleeping through the night (which she wasn't doing) since she obviously was healthy and getting enough to eat. So in the past three weeks, Katelyn has been learning to sleep through the night. I was a wimp and wouldn't let her cry more than 30 minutes at a time before feeding her, but she has been doing much better and we're all getting more uninterrupted sleep.
Katelyn has gotten rolling down pat and has figured out that she can explore the room she is in if she rolls over to something and licks or sucks on that thing. She has been learning to sit up...though she's pretty unsteady without help and just this week we caught her trying to hitch her way across the floor...definitely not crawling, but the beginning stages. I don't think our apartment is ready for this!
Other than that, she is just being the cutest baby we have ever seen...making friends wherever she goes and using her winning smile to get all the attention that she can! We love her so much.
