Friday

Sharyn has no idea about this trip.   She thinks we are going to a movie this afternoon and that I am trying to arrange some kind of secret party on Saturday for her.  It's 6:15 AM now and I'm about to go and make her French Toast, Bacon, OJ, and coffee to bring to her in bed.  I'm going to wake her with breakfast and then give her a wrapped present containing our airline tickets and a brochure of the bed and breakfast, Celie's, where we are staying in Baltimore.
Here is Sharyn with breakfast in bed, just after she opened the present with the airline tickets and itinerary!

Sharyn in our room at Celie's Bed and Breakfast.

Sharyn with Babe Ruth at Camden Yards.

Camden Yards was really cool, I think we'll be going to some baseball games next year!

After visiting Camden Yards, we went to the harbor and walked around.

The USS Constellation in the harbor.

The Aquarium and harbor.

Here is the pub where we had dinner.

The final surprise was our good friends, Rich and Deb Peterson, who live in Jacksonville, FL joining us for dinner!

After dinner we went bar hopping in the Fell's Point district.  Oh yeah, just because this picture is out of focus doesn't mean that we were!

We found this cool bar, "The Horse You Rode In On".

There was a guitar player and percussionist who we of course talked into playing Jimmy Buffett for us.

Here we are having a blast!   We wish you were here!

Saturday

It's Sharyn's Birthday and we are headed to Little Havana for a special Scott Kirby and Peter Mayer performance for the Chesapeake Bay Parrot Head Club's 3rd anniversary party.  Before heading to the party, we toured the Northeast and North suburbs of Baltimore finding some nice neighborhoods.  Sharyn can't wait to check real estate listing on the net when we return.

The infamous duo, Thelma and Louise or is it Louise and Thelma?  The entire PMFC board was present including our friends, Sue and Terry.

Just after 3 PM Peter and Scott took the stage for 2 great sets of music.

Peter and Scott would take turns playing each other's songs.

They usually played the songs together but would occasionally do a song alone.

Even without percussion they sounded great.

A friend of Scott Kirby, Gary Green, sat in on many songs playing the harp.

Peter played "Chain of Love"

and when no one started a chain of love conga line, he started it all by himself!

Scott Kirby played songs from all of his albums including

"This Old House", "Little Blue Boat", and "If Once You Slept on an Island".

Peter did some less known songs

including a great acoustic "Michaelangelo" by himself.

Peter added a twist to "In the Meantime" by singing a verse

and chorus of "Lucky Stars" after the Logins and Messina section.

Peter was very nice to dedicate "Send Me the Love" to Sharyn on her birthday!  She was on cloud nine!

All of the favorite songs were played including a rocking version of

"BB's got the Blues" with Gary and Scott backing Peter.

Peter was playing so fast the camera couldn't keep up with him!

What a fantastic show by two phenomenal musicians!  If you don't own their cds, we would highly recommend picking up some from their web sites below.

As always Peter was very gracious to take a photo with the birthday girl and me.
