Peterhead travelled to Aberdeen today to play their first fixture in the Aberdeen & District Premier league.
Peterhead were minus seven players due to holidays but were able to find a team which included two trialists.
Peterhead were first to attack and a great cross over from Aidan Innes was headed over the bar by Jack Mclean, and soon after another cross from Aidan Innes wa smet by trialist Jamie Ramsay who was unlucky to see his strike well saved by the Sheddocksley keeper.
Jack Mclean then drove in a terrific ball to Aidan Innes but Aidan flashed his header past the post.
Peterhead were dominating the game and only the killer punch was missing.
Sheddocksley broke away against the run of play but Alexaner Buchan in goals for Peterhead was quick off his mrk to stop the danger and cleared the ball up field .After Kyle Ritchie was brought down in the Sheddocksley half, Jason Bain fired in the resulting free kick which cannoned off the keeper and Kieran Bruce was first to react to knock the ball over the line to put Peterhead in front.
Peterhead were driving forward now and the impressive Jack Mclean beat two defenders before striking the ball under the keeper to put Peterhead two nil up at half time.
Peterhead went looking for the early goal to try and finish off their hosts at the start of the second half and Shaun Anderson went close when his well struck effort brought off a terrific save from the keeper.
Although Sheddocksley were trying to get back into the game the back four of Bain, Scott, Meek and Bruce were closing down and clearing any danger.
Alexander Buchan was catching the eye with his distribution of the ball and looked as though it would take something spectacular to beat him today
Kyle Ritchie then broke away from his amrker and his super pass was driven home by the very alert Aidan Innes.
Shaun Walker then played a one two with Kyle Ritchie and his shot just went by the post as Peterhead kept up the pressure.
Connor Wilson then pushed forward to put Sheddocksley under pressure and the resulting corner kick by Kieran Bruce was latched onto by Aidan Innes who gave the keeper no chance with a fierce drive to score his second and Peterhead's fourth.Peterhead picked up their first three points of the league in this their first game without some of their usual players and thanks must go to the two trialists in Garry Ironside and Jamie Ramsay who performed brilliantly for the team.
Man of the Match went to Keiran Bruce for his display at the back and very dangerous corner kicks he was supplying during the game.
