| Peter first came to Bath for a year in 1986 to study an art foundation course. He went on to graduate from Manchester Polytechnic, returning to the city in 1993. Inspired by the architecture and life of the town, he has become a familiar figure painting the city's streets. He is a "plein air " painter working on site in the foulest of weathers. "I love the uniqueness of the place but sometimes I can get a bit Bath'd - out and I really enjoy painting in different towns and cities and in the landscape. The thread to my painting, I suppose is an obsession with different weather conditions and light. I love the British climate!" He works in charcoal, oil and pastel for which he has received numerous awards at various national exhibitions. He is a member of: The New English Art Club The Pastel Society The Royal institute of Oil Painters and Bath Society of Artists. Peter, his wife, Lisa and their three children Oliver, Toby and Harriet live in Bath. |
