I am selling my 1966 Mustang Coupe because
I GOT married!
NOTE: I have made some progress on the project, so I probably won't sell it unless I get a good offer.
It is an unfinished project, great for someone who wants to work on
something this winter. I wish I had the time & $$ to finish
it, but I don't. This is a great car for someone who doesn't want
to start from scratch, but wants to do mainly mechanical work.
Definitely not an all-original project, so if you want original, this
isn't for you.
Car is located in South Kansas City, Missouri. Unfortunately, I don't
have a trailer, so transportation is up to you.
Directly to the pix!
Body:
The majority of the body work has been done. Quarters and inner
wheel wells, floor pans, shock towers are all done, as well as frame
rails. The main body work that needs to be done is as follows:
- Install Radiator Support (New radiator support included with car) * UPDATE: Installed
- If desired, replace driver side floor pan EXTENSION
(the floor pan itself has been replaced)
- Clean up tail light panel with weld
or putty
- Bolt on fenders, hood, trunk, etc.
I have 2 trunk lids & 2 hoods that will come with the car.
One trunk has a camaro-style fin, the other does not. One hood
has holes drilled for hood pins, the other does not.
Drivetrain:
A 1994 5.0 engine is installed in the
car. It had about 70k on it, but I don't have documentation
of that. It has been converted over to a carburated system
with a edlebrock performer 289 & a Holley 650 double pumper
carb. The engine turns over, but does not run quite yet. Gotta figure out this carb. UPDATE: Car runs. Figured out the timing was off.
The matching T-5 5-speed transmission is
installed as well, using the T-5 conversion mount. The tranny
does need a shift lever and knob (the actual
shifter is there though).
Have the clutch pedal setup, and converted it for the
T-5.
Driveshaft is in.
Brakes:
Front brakes are from a '79 Granada, 11"
disc brakes. Proportioning valve & master cylinder are there
as well. All connected, and work (custom
bent). Rear brakes are new,
including the drums.
Other:
New BF Goodrich tires on 14" steel rims - 2 brand new, 2 older, but not
used.
Fuel line is setup, but would have to be secured into place. UPDATE: It is secured. Gas
tank leaked, so a new one was installed. Electric pump, filter, and
regulator all there & work.
All glass included, plus some extra.
2 Extra doors included.
