EXPERIMENT TO EXPLAIN UFOs and BALL LIGHTNING
The experiment demonstrates for the first time in combustion in an atmospheric-like vortex undergoing vortex breakdown. This phenomenon may exist in the atmosphere. Past observations seem to indicate that the effect does exist in nature. This phenomenon is the main idea of Coleman (1993) and is used as the basis of a theory for several UFO sightings and as a theory for ball lightning. A detailed account of the theory is available in the book Ball Lightning a Scientific Mystery Explained published by Fireshine Press in 1997. THE AGE-OLD MYSTERY OF UFOs IS FINALLY SOLVED. The first publication of the theory is by Coleman (1993) Weather

LPG gas burning in the vortex breakdown region of a vortex inside of a vortex chamber 0.9 meter diameter. The vane angle was 66 degrees. This imparts a more rounder flame than for 40 degrees (see above). Note that several shapes of ball lightning has been reported including cylindrical and the classic spherical shape. |
