Venice. During Carnevale it is a city that triples it's population.  The ensuing pomp
and circumstance is at the same time f
ascinating and obnoxious.
The Santa Maria della Salute Cathedral
It has been said that Elvis Pressley has never been here before.
A common site in Venice during Carneva-le. A masked bandit pos-
ing for pic-tures just before
slipping off on her way to some
pageant.
This guy was a fire
eating / flingling freak.  As I snapped
this shot, he spit out kero-
sine to do the fire breathing thing and got a bunch of it on my
forehead.
A face
painter
who I thought to be very beauti-
ful. So I took her pic-ture.
A boat, a seagull and Santa Maria della Salute cathedral in the evening sun.

This shot was taken in Vernazza
My ability to shoot black and white is nil but with a little com-
puter edit-
ing it's
amazing what a brother can do.
Another Vernazza
shot.  This is a stairway in a look-
out tower on the shore.  It's also
the secret
passage to
the next
page.
