The Story
Many eons ago, the heavens met the sea in an endless horizon. All of the sky was ruled by Vivien, the Mother Goddess, and all of the seas were ruled by Phianlo, the Father. But all was not well. Vivien was lonely, and one day her tears spilled into the ocean and Phianlo noticed her. They fell in love instantly, and had four children: Arin, Mord, Etwi, and Maris.
Vivien had many other children, but she loved none as her first four. She bestowed upon them many gifts, including mastery over the elements and each a choice over which area they would reign over. Arin chose Drama and Air, Mord chose Harvest and Earth, Etwi chose Wisdom and Water, and Maris chose Warfare and Fire. All was well. That is, until the Four quarreled.
For reasons long lost to God- and Human-kind alike, the siblings began a war that would last up to present times. It shook the heavens and rolled the seas, and grievened Vivien to no end. She hated to see her children fighting, and so Galdore was made.
Galdore was an attempt to staunch the tide of battle among the four. It was a perfect land, with all landscapes imaginable. Vivien divided the land into five parts, one for each of the Gods and Goddesses, and a healthy chunk in the middle for herself to watch over her children. Each land yielded to the Immortals' personal likes and needs. Still, they did not waver in their fighting, now using Galdore as a battleground.
Rather than be angered by this, Vivien was only saddened. As a last attempt at peace, she created mortals as servants for the Four Siblings. They were a diverse group, each molded in the Gods and Goddesses own image. And still, the Immortals quarreled, now using the humans as soldiers in the war that would never end.
Vivien had had enough. In a rage, she threw down the Book of the Four and deemed it so that none of her children could ever return to Galdore, save in mortal form. But it was too late to save the humans, who to this day continue the fighting of their God. Which side will you choose?

Alevian's Blood
Alevian was the daughter of the Chieftess of Halmaris, but it was apparent she would not take over the throne because she had no interest in weaponry. Instead, she was given to Tyler, a prince of Avarin, in a brief attempt at peace. Together they had twins, a boy and girl. The boy went on to rule Avarin and the girl to head Halmaris. But not before their mother became the most hated woman in all Galdore.
Alevian began to become bored with Avarinian court life. She was, after all, Halmarish by birth. This is why Tom, the Ruler's son of Etwiar, caught her eye. Thinking nothing of the repercussions, (a very un-Etwiarian thing to do), he seduced her. From their love came another boy. It was a full year before Tyler realized that this child was not him, for Tom was blonde and blue-eyed like an Avarinian. He divorced Alevian, and since then the war between Avarin and Halmaris has been particulary intense. The child of Tom and Alevian later became the Ruler of Etwiar after his father relinquished his right to the throne from shame.
It seemed as if Alevian would have dropped off the edge of the seas. Halmaris would not accept her and Avarin had banished him. Etwiar and Mordone were never her home. So she came to Vavan. The priestesses there took no judgements, they merely accepted her. It seemed peace (whatever the definition of that is in Galdore) was restored. Until the annual festival was held in the Holy City. That is where John, a knight of Mordone, met Alevian.
Had he known it was "the Whore of Halmaris" (as she was nicknamed), he probably would not have had an affair with her. But one thing led to another, and Alevian had her fourth child. It was a girl, and she begged John to take her back to his clan. He did, albeit reluctantly. When the knight and his new child returned to Mordone, an Aura Judge found out the truth about the child's true genes. Mordone did not turn the girl away, but they did ban Alevian and John from ever coming to Mordone again. The girl grew up to became the Leader of Mordone, despite her mother.
Never have the clans been linked in such a horrific way. Two bastards, two twins, all siblings and all on the throne before they reached eighteen years. Despite this, the war continues on, relentless, pitting brother against brother, sister against sister. Alevian was never seen or heard from again in Galdore, and she was not missed.
Blame the whore...

Summary
Aren't we all tired of long-wined histories? This why I provide a very BRIEF summary below.
Eons ago, Vivien, the mother goddess's four favorite children quarrelled. To soothe their anger, she created Galdore and divided into five parts: One for each of her children and one for herself to look after them. But it did not staunch the war, and so Vivien created mortals to appease the gods' fury. This only pushed the Four to use the mortals as soldiers in the war. Furious, Vivien threw down the book of the four, and forbade her children to ever come to Galdore again save in mortal form.

Today, the battle still rages between the four, this time even more acute because the four Sovereigns are half-siblings by Alevian ("the whore of Halmaris")
