Avarin
Arin of Drama and Air is a goddess, which is why the structure of Avarin is so ironic. It is a male-dominated society, headed by a King who's word is law. Its' colors are black and silver, black being the traditional bard's garb and silver representing the air element.
Avarin holds the most-- and best-- bards in Galdore. Their talent ranges from obscure, declaiming specialization, to various branches of clowning. Magic is also a form of entertainment to Avarinians, who enjoy illusions and loud noises when their magicians perform.
The people can be described as dramatic, persuasive, and cunning. Dramatic, because exaggeration is a key part of daily clan life. No one knows why, but persuasion is an attribute commonly distributed to Avarinians, making them superb (if not tactful) politicians. Lastly, cunning, for usually the intelligence possessed by a clansmen of Avarin is biting and sharp.

Etwiar
Etwi, the god of Wisdom and Water, is said to have never erred in judgement until the day he went to war with his siblings. Even that point is debated within the confines of the clan, but the verdict is kept secret, one of Etwiar's many. Another of these is the inner government structure. Even the best of clan spies can figure no more out than the fact that Etwiar is headed by a Ruler, which has been known to be both male and female. The clans' colors are blue, for water, and gold, for intelligence.
Because ones' mental capacity is valued above all else in Etwiar, schoalars abound. These range from conservative debaters to free-thinking philosophers. To Etwiarians, magic is an everyday part of life. More Merlins of Galdore have come from this clan than any other. Enchantment, possibly the hardest branch of magic use, is quite popular to study in Etwiar. It consists of touching something and commanding it to change.
The people can be described as intelligent, witty, and regal. Intelligence, of course, comes from a proclamation that every child aged 5-14 must attend school, regardless of rank. Etwiarians are well-spoken and masters of reparte, making their wit unmatchable. Lastly, an air of regalness is commonplace throught Etwiar, though it is often mistaken for haughtiness.

Halmaris
The most untameable of the four immortable siblings, Maris it the passionate goddess of Warfare and Fire. She is an appropriate figurehead of the female-ruled Halmaris. At its' head is a powerful Chieftess, who attains that rank through physical combat after the previous Sovereign's death. The clan's colors are fire's red and warrior's bronze.
It is rare that anyone in Halmaris doesn't know how to use a weapon, and a warrior is considered the most honorable job (and is coincidentally the most numerous). This rank ranges from chivalric knights to hired killers. Magic is considered to be a crutch and thus is used sparingly; but the occasional battle mage is without an equal.
Each Halmarisian has a powerful personality, consisting mainly of three traits: pride, stubornness, and bravery. Firstly, pride, because every clansmen of Halmaris has an obsession with honor, and with it comes pride in ability and clan. Secondly, stubornness. Each clan possesses this trait in abundance; who else would wage a war who's purpose or cause was lost for over a thousand years? but in Halmaris the trait particularly affects the people. Never offend a Halmarisian; they will hold a grudge until they die. Thirdly, bravery, a trait with a clansmen will often exhibit to the point of recklessness. Talent aside, it is bravery that makes Halmaris such a formidable foe, for they throw themselves into a battle without any regard for their own safety.

Mordone
It is hard not to like Mord, the merry god of the Harvest and the Earth. He often comes to Mordone in mortal form to feast with his clansmen. The clan's society is an equal one, the head a Leader who usually waits for the consent of his people to act upon something. Mordone's colors are green and purple, the first embodying the earth and the element; the second for the color of the robes traditionally worn by healers.
There are so many healers in the clan, most people of Mordone have picked up at least basic medical knowledge. This rank has many sub-categories, such as magical potion-making and village midwivery. Magic is used when it is needed, and usually for a purpose such as upkeep of law or healing.
Though the core hate is still there, Mordonians are the most mild-mannered of the four. That is helped by their likable personalities, dominated by hard work, loyalty, and merrment. Mordone earned its' immense wealth through all its' clansmen's hard working. Mordonians will never go bad on a contract or leave another's side, for loyalty has a high value in their clan. Though they work hard, they love their wines and feasts. Merryment is considered important in every Mordonian's life.
