Pete's Blog Sunday 30th April, 2006
How's Pete?
Well, I'm fine (thanks for asking). Rather than rant and blog like a bastard today, I thought I'd keep you up to speed with what's going on in my noggin at the present time.

Well, number one on my mind at the minute is that it's finally going to happen - Seanna and I will be moving in together around August or September time (i.e. as soon as she gets full time work). It's taken over my mind insofar that I've wanted it for months now and it is economically viable. It's a fucking tragedy that couples like Seanna and myself are so reliant on steady, decent income to get what they want. This is one of the poor effects of modern capitalism. But that's life, I suppose. You take the rough with the smooth. I would do it all tomorrow if I could.
It's important also because I can finally get away from the dependence I currently have on my parents. If I was single, I would be living with my folks for the rest of my life. Quite sad I know, but this is the way society is going.

I'm getting pretty wound up with home life at the minute as you can guess. I need this final freedom once and for all because come September it will be NINE YEARS since I moved to Northern Ireland, and I've still yet to get over it. I'll never be able to get over it until I become my own man, in charge of my own destiny. Not only that, I'm losing precious lie-ins because of Grandma's radio. With her slowing down and getting old, it makes for pretty frustrating times in the Murdock household.

Work-wise I'm fine also. Don't get me wrong, if Waterstones on Fountain Lane were looking for a supervisor I'd be at their door like Road Runner (MEEP MEEP!). But until then, I'm happy enough with what I'm doing at the minute. I wish that people would stop dicking around with my map display, but I can't have anything.

Music wise, I've been listening to Mer De Noms by A Perfect Circle all week. It is without a doubt my 2nd favourite album of all time. Have also added some classic Blur to The Proclamation (a.k.a. my iPod) as well as the entire With Teeth album. Sweet.

So, I hope that brings you up to date. Had a bit of a shit one last week but after spending May Day with Seanna, I feel much better about life as a whole.

Nevertheless,

I NEED HOUSE!
