Yeah, it's lame. But it's mine.

This is a free website hosted by
Geocities, a Yahoo company.  Sorry about the pop-up ads (get a pop-up blocker, already).

I built the site with PageBuilder, Yahoo's free web-based program.  It's limited, to say the least (text capabilities are awful), and making changes takes forever.  On the other hand, real web design software is far beyond my meager skills and even more meager needs.

Originally, the graphics come from three sources: crap I made with primitive old
Paint, crap I copied from the internet and uploaded to my site, and photos from my Nikon Coolpix 775.  Eventually I discovered a bunch of text and graphic sites like Cool Archive and Cool Text.

The
Chami Online JPEG Compressor is a priceless tool for shrinking picture files. My pages took a lot longer to load before I found this one.

I copied a couple of apps from
The Javascript Source.

Net3Media provided useful advice on HTML and design, plus handy links.

FreeSticky has links to vast amounts of free content for websites.  That's how I found SatireSearch and the Daily Beer Quote.

Finally, I submitted the site to a bunch of search engines using
AddMe, but so far a google search for my name still doesn't turn up this site.

I've wasted hours trying to make a left-hand table of contents frame in PageBuilder. Any help out there?

In January 2003, I redesigned the site a little.  For comparison, here's the
old look.
