HANG 'EM HIGH RULES

The Hang ‘em High League is a keeper league.

The keeper rules:

Each team has 18 Keeper Points per year.
Approximately one month prior to the beginning of each year's fantasy baseball draft each owner will have to
decide how to spend his team's 18 Points.

A player's cost (to keep for one year, in Keeper Points) will depend on the round in which he was
drafted the previous year. If he was not drafted but was instead a waiver wire acquisition, he
will cost 1 Point to keep. If he was neither drafted, nor a waiver wire acquisition, but was
instead a keeper from the previous year, he will cost twice what he cost to keep the previous
year. A team will be allowed to keep no more than 12 players each year (not including ULTRA).

The Keeper Point Chart:
Round 1: 5 Keeper Points
Rounds 2-5: 4 KPs
Rounds 6-10: 3 KPs
Rounds 11-20: 2 KPs
Rounds 21-30: 1 KP
Waiver Wire: 1 KP
ULTRA Draft Call-Up: 1 KP

The ULTRA Draft will be a 5-round snake draft that takes place via e-mail after the 'normal' draft
(but in reverse order). Owners will have 48 hours from the time of the last pick to make their
pick. If an owner misses his pick, the draft continues (with the next team making their pick
within 48 hours) but the erring owner may make his missed pick at any time prior to May
31st, at which point no more drafting will be done (until the following season).

Any PERSON not drafted in the normal draft will be eligible to be drafted in the ULTRA draft. Once
drafted, his owner will have exclusive rights to pick him up from waivers at any time. If said
owner chooses not to pick him up, and instead keeps him on his ULTRA roster, he can do so
indefinately (from year to year, decade to decade...). However, an owner can never have more
than 5 players on his ULTRA roster at any time and can acquire new players for his ULTRA
roster in no way other than by drafting them in the ULTRA draft or aquiring them via trade.
Once said owner does pick a player from his ULTRA roster from waivers, said player is
removed from the owner’s ULTRA list and will cost 1 KP to keep if the owner decides (no later
than one month prior to the following season) to do so.

Scoring Rules:

The league’s scoring system will follow the format of many conventional fantasy baseball leagues.
Each team’s players will accumulate real-world statistics, 10 of which (5 for hitters, 5 for
pitchers) will be acknowledged by the league:

Hitters:
Runs (R)
Home Runs (HR)
Runs Batted In (RBI)
Stolen Bases (SB)
On-Base Percentage (New for the 2005 season)

Pitchers:
Wins (W)
Saves (S)
Strike Outs (K)
Earned Run Average (ERA)
(Walks+Hits)/Inning Pitched (WHIP)
For each team in the league, each of these 10 categories will be totaled (or averaged-out) to arrive
at 10 final totals for that team. The team in the league with the fewest Runs will recieve 1
point. The team with the second fewest runs will recieve 2 points and so on... This happens
for each of the 10 categories. When the final point totals are added up at the end of the
season, the team with the most points will be crowned victor and league champion.

Roster Rules:

Each team will have two rosters -– a regular roster, and an ULTRA roster.
Each team’s regular roster will be composed of –at most- 30 players with real-world Major League
experience (and up to an additional 2 players on their DL). Each team’s ULTRA roster will be
composed of –at most- 5 players with any level of experience.
