The Day I Almost Lost My Dog
One day, my brother and I were playing in the backyard with my dog Shadow. Shadow isa 3 year old german shepeard/rottweiler mix. When my brother went out the gate to ride his bike, he forgot to close it. My mom called me inside so I left without noticing the opened gate, that's when Shadow got out. When I realized he was outside, I went after him, but the more I chased him, the further he went so I gave up and went back home, thinking that he would com back later. I waited and waited but there was no sign of him. Then it started getting dark and that's when I got really worried. I was so worried that I told my parents what had happened but all they said was "he'll be back". The night passed and I was so worried that I cried. The next day, I jumped out of bed and ran to the backyard. Like always without luck, my dog wasn't there. He didn't com home that day. Every itm the phone rang, I would hope that it was someone with informaiton about Shadow. Unfortunatly, none of them were. The next day, I went to the store with my mom and her cell phone rang. I t was a lady sying tat she had Shadow in her house. My mom got the address and we went to her house. When we got there, I saw Shadow in a cage. I rant o ther cage, unlock it and gave him a big hug. The lady told us that she had found him really tired so she kept him. She then told us that she called the Humane Society to get our information because he was carrying a tag at that time. Since that day we make sure the gate is closed. Shadow is scared to get out anyways.
