My Wonderful Reba

Reba is the most wonderful puppy to come into my life!
She is light brown, and black( kind of like a gmn shepherd).
This is strange considering she is a Pit Bull! My sweetie is 1 1/2 years old.
She has been with us since she was 9 weeks old. She has never had a spanking,
not even with a rolled up paper. With no formal training, I believe Reba to be
the best behaved, and smartest dog I have ever come across. At times I feel bad
for her When she was 11 weeks old(with my 3 year old son walking her) a mother
pulled her kids across the street, away from us, when I told her Rebas breed.
All the misconceptions about Pit Bulls are a little dishearting. I wish more
people could see what a wonderful family dog a Pit Bull makes.

I have two children(boys,8 and just 5). My husband, myself, the kids and
Reba went to Oregon for New Years this year. We had fun playing in the snow.
There is a frozen lake next to where we stayed. The second day we were there,
my husband and the keds went out to play with Reba. While my husband was
helping my 8 year old, he heard a SPLASH. When he looked up, he could not see
Reba or my 4 year old (at the time)! He ran around a dock, and there they were,
in the water! He was trying to walk on the ice, and Reba jumped in to save him!
REBA HATES THE WATER!! We couldn't believe it. Thankfully everyone was ok.
Since that day, Reba wont let Jarumy out of her site! The other day we were
walking along the boardwalk, when my son decided to walk down the grass
hill to the sand.(no dogs allowed on the sand) Reba got it in her head that
the boys must be in danger, becuse she actually pulled my husband down the
hill on his bottom! My husband weighs in at a lean 250lbs, Reba is only 55lbs!
For a little dog she really packs a pull! At the same time, she is so gentle
she lets Jarumy walk her at heal. She doesn't even do that for me w/o command!

Thank you for listening to my story,

Amanda

P.S. Rebas best friend is a little black and white kitty named Tiki.
This proves no all dogs eat cats!
