The Lucky Basterds.

These are the Lucky Bastards, our most prominent party in Kararé at the moment. Why they're called The Lucky Bastards... well, after all the predicaments they've been in they're immensely lucky to still be alive! Also, they're incredibly wealthy (which is a big asset to staying alive). From left to bottom: the dark guy with the sword is Glît of the clan Salii, our desertman. The red-haired kender is Petalbeam Foxflame - my character - and the hairless halfling (magical accidents happen) is Draglon...

The black guy with the attitude problem is a Nelrion, one of the most feared monsters on Kararé. The Lucky Bastards have defeated several of them.

Petalbeam.

This is my favourite black and white picture of Petalbeam. Though her official name is nowadays Princess Petalbeam Greenleaf of Ironbow - she married the king of the Elves. Well, you're never sure what a potion does unless you drink it, now do you? What do you mean, love potion?
Anyway, they've got five kids now, triplets (boys) and twins (girls) (The gods thought they'd help restore the family Greenleaf of Ironbow to a reasonable number.)
Pet also has a cat, Lucky. Lucky, well... he's based somewhat on Greebo...

Reputation.

Glît says; It's not what you'r thinking. Trust me.

Kender Mayhem.

Having a kender in the party can lead to great problems. It becomes really frustrating when one is staying in a kender village and the kender discover the spellcomponents of the wizard. Luckily the Lucky Bastards have a Cart that can be locked up so good that even the Achneon Thieves' Guild has not yet been able to open it.

The Big Bad Dungeon Master.

Yes, he really grins like that - the all-famous "Dungeon Master's Grin". That's our dungeonmaster, tormenter, and general creator of Kararé, Joris - incidently, he's also my boyfriend, which is very handy when one wants to play another kender again...

This is the third full-colour picture of the Lucky Bastards, and a personal favourite. It's also the first time I drew Glît in armour.

Lovebirds.

Ohhh.. We've had some terribly romantic one-on-one roleplay sessions with these two. It's a very fairy-tale-like story in a Beauty and the Beast tradition (though which is the Beast I can't say - they both have a very high comeliness and charisma) - an "evil" necromancer and a good priestess falling in love with eachother. My half-elf/half-kender Talory is still one of my favourite characters. She's Lawful Good - which is real different from most of my characters, and a bit like Crysania from the Dragonlance novels - I love to play her. Of course, now she's changed into a ten year old girl (don't ask, just... don't ask) again - but they're still engaged to be married.

Rosy and Thiarens.

Playing a kender is lots of fun - especially a ten-year old kender wizardess with a magical teddy on a world with little magic. Roseblossom Foxflame is Petalbeam's younger sister, transported to Tethir by her father so she would be safe. Well, safe... She and Thiarens had to fight several goblins, ogres, bandits and one mummy on the way to Tallos, where she'll reunite with her unknown family...

Don't ask about the mummy, though. Both Rosy and Thiarens will be very upset when you do that.

The Holy Ones.

These are the Holy Ones. Er... they became holy ones when Jenny (the halfling) accidently summoned the chief god of the Kararean pantheon, Envarth. He sort of forgot how big humans are again and appeared as a 1000 ft. tall giant, complete with earth quakes and eruptions (but he rebuilt the city again, afterwards...)

The Lucky Basterds.

All together now! I like this picture - the characters look a bit more realistic than they usually do - especially Petalbeam. The cat's called Lucky. It's a good thing Draglon's familiar (a mouse) decided not to pose! (Or maybe he's hiding under Drag's cloak - that would explain Lucky's reluctance to sit still!)

Farli and Snappy.

This is a very nice painting of Farli and her Malachon Hill pony Snappy. Malachon Hill ponies are generally bad-tempered and aggressive - Joris assures me Snappy is rather mild, as Malachon Hill ponies go. The silver fox running next to them is Farli's familiar, Woodrunner.

Farli and Leopold.

This is a picture of a very young Farli and her adoptive father Leopold. I seem to be doing a lot of Farli pictures lately. Well, as long as I enjoy it....

The Link.

This is the party of the Link, mostly referred to as just the Link. This is the second colour painting I made of the Link - I was not completely satisfied with the first one. Very early visitors of my site may have seen it, cause it was there for a very short time. The Link Link is notorious for their ability to mess things up, but lately, they've done better. They've even raised a couple of levels. The dark-skinned desert elf (yes, I know he looks like a drow, but he isn't, really!) is my character, Ashal.

Farli Cooking.

This is from a period of square pictures in gouaches - first in a series of night pictures. I wanted to do a witchy cooking scene with one of my roleplay characters, so I choose Farli - only to discover she's one of the characters that doesn't have a cooking skill. Oops!

Pregnant Talory.

There aren't that many black and white Talory pictures, so I figured I'd drawn one - yet another in the series of round pictures. This one shows Talory being pregnant with her first child (not born yet at the moment of this typing). I like the little birdie - there's something about Talory and birds. Naturally, she's reverted to her adult self by this time...

Holy Ones.

This picture was fun from beginning to end. It's the first one in a series of round pictures and also the first to feature the dwarf Thor - the latest addition to the party. He's not a Holy One in his own right, though. This picture is a combination of watercolours and gouache - guess where the gouache went...

Bastards in Spring.

Yes, another Bastards picture. This one is a very simple picture in the tradition of my earliest AD&D pictures - though much better of course... I like the tree - I always like trees.

Bastards in the Snow.

Yes, another Bastards picture. This time they are frollicking in the snow.
