We read the story "How Do Mexicans Celebrate the Day of the Dead?", and then we enjoyed a celebration.  We prepared and ate tacos, corn chips, and salsa.

Student Responses to Free Willy

Frantzo:  In this movie I saw a lot of people.

Michele:  Jesse gives fish to him.

Andreia:  Jesse and Willy are friends.  They play together.

Luciana:  "Can you dance?  Can you wave?  Can you fish?  I can feed him!"

Maria F.:  The boy teaches the whale to stick out his tongue.

Anna:  Jesse sticks out his tongue, and touches the whale and the whale waves to Jesse, and nods to Jesse.

Ronie:  Jesse asked the whale if he like to dance and invited the whale to dance with him, and the whale did it.

Maria P.:  The whale dances and sticks out his tongue for the boy.

Vera: Very funny, Willy loves Jesse, he doesn't like the woman!
