Recruiting Rules

New members

These are members who are not currently registered users at Final Fantasy Republic.

Rules of recruiting new members to FFR:

~!~ Don't spam the entire world with "Come join FFR it's teh coolest!" If I catch you doing this; I'm booting you.

A few questions you should ask yourself before recruiting a new member to FFR:

~?~ Is this person really a good thing for the forum? (Remember: We want good members.)
~?~ Is this person into Final Fantasy at all? (Remember: Final Fantasy Republic.)

With that in mind:

~:~ People you know, are the best potential new members. You'll know the best way to pitch FFR to them.
~:~ If you are a member at another forum and you see someone talking about leaving that forum, send them here. (If you don't mind being a bit of a traitor.)
~:~ Think of all the things that FFR has to offer that they're into and throw it at them.
Now, onto the inactives. Easier and harder at the same time.

Rules of Bringing back Inactives:

~!~ Again, Don't spam them 20 thousand times about how cool FFR is. If I catch you doing this; I'm booting you.

A few questions you should ask yourself before bringing back an Inactive:

~?~ When did they register?
~?~ Have they posted since registering?
~?~ How many posts have they made?

Newbie inactives

These are registered members how have less than 25 posts who haven't posted in a week.

~:~ Check to see if they've posted in the New Members Inn. If they have, leave a comment on their user page about various features.
~:~ If that's not the case, then just find the one post they've made. See what it's about. Leave a comment on the subject on their user page.

(Example: Their one post is about how cool FF7 is. Your comment on their page should be something like "Hey. I saw your post on FF7. Who is your favorite character? Have you played any of the other Final Fantasies. My favorite is _____. Well if you need any help with anything, let me know.")

~:~ If you disagree with whatever their post was about, don't be a moron and flame them. If you want to take the risky approach, be mature about it.

(Bad Example: "What!? You think FF7 sucks! You're a loser! FF7 is the best!")

(Good Example: "You don't like FF7? What didn't you like about it? Which Final Fantasy did you like? Well, I'll see you around the forums. Don't forget to post in the New Members Inn and introduce yourself to everyone.")

Contact of Newbie inactives should be done via PM or a Comment on their user page.

Senior Inactives

These are the members who have a post count of 500 or more, who aren't banned, but haven't posted in over a month, but less than a year.
~:~ Don't talk down to these people. Ever.
~:~ If they've been inactive for over a month they're probably not going to care if they get a PM. So, if you can email them, then email them. If not, send them a PM and hope they get it. You could also try IM. Use only one of these methods. No one wants to be chased all over the internet by a forum member.

Example: "Hey. Why'd you disappear? Hope everything is alright. The forum is dying without you. Come back soon."
Happy Hunting!
