April's Person Search Site Recommendations
I can't believe it's nearly May! Summer is right around the bend and I couldn't be more ready. I'm still trying to find my step-dad... but to no avail thus far. While doing more research though, I did come across some good sites about finding people, and running a background check. I also found this hilarious ode To the Time Change... which had some pretty funny ideas about Vampires. Speaking of which, I was feeling a little pale and sickly so I've been looking into the benefits of vitamins. I ordered a canister of the vitamins from that site. I'll let you know if it makes me feel any better. Of course, a good day in the sun would probably help too. :)

March's Person Search Site Recommendations
Tracking down my step-dad (ex-step-dad? not sure what the proper term for him would be) was a lot more difficult than I anticipated. I was shocked. If anyone knows how to do people searches, it's me! So why would this be so difficult? I tried all the sites to find someone that I knew, then finally, finally using this one to find people now, I tracked him down. Turns out that he got remarried and HE changed HIS last name, and I guess other engines weren't able to find him for that reason. Strange. Anyway. So I have his most recent contact info, just haven't actually contacted him yet. I'll let you know how that goes. Oh, and check out phentra!

February's Person Search Site Recommendations
Another Valentine's Day has gone by, and you know what that means? Discount candy baby! Candy that I've been using to get through all this angst. Well, some of the people on my list are people I had a falling out with, including my step-dad. He's not my step dad anymore, but he was very important to me when I was younger. I blamed him for my mom and his break up, but in retrospect, I know it wasn't really his fault. So, he's the next person I need to contact. I hope he's receptive...Anyway, here are the sites I found for you this month:

January's Person Search Site Recommendations
Oh my goodness! I cannot believe how fast the year has gone! It seems like just yesterday I was making new year's resolutions for 2007, and now I'm working on my 2008 list--and my 2008 people search list. Okay, even with people search being as easy as it is, there are still some cases that are harder than others, and I have a couple like that. Mostly they are emotionally difficult. I have people who I have found thanks to sites like the ones listed below, but I just haven't had the courage to contact them...I'll tell you more about that next time. In the meantime, here are my sites for this month:

Wow. I was just looking over this site, and it has come a long way! I'm so proud of myself for keeping it up. I really hope it is helping people find the people from their past they have been wondering about, but didn't know they could find so easily these days thanks to the Internet. Speaking of which, let's get right into this month's recommendations:
1) Person Search is a great site about just that: Person Search! It also has some good tips on how to best run a background check on a person with a hard-to-find record.

3) PremiumHowToGuides.com - How To Build Your Family Tree is my new favorite site. I am trying to build my family tree with the help of my mother, so we can give it to my father for his 80th birthday. This article really helped us out!
