| In April of 2004, Minnesotans who'd had or are planning to have Weight Loss Surgery (WLS) met at Grand Casino, in Hinckley, for a weekend of informative workshops and the chance to hear Carnie Wilson speak about her experience with WLS. Friday night, there was a dance, the theme being "The Seventies." I went with my friend Carlyn, who I am EXCITED to say, finally has a surgery date of OCTOBER 20th! YAYYYYYY!!!! It was fun to meet Carnie... she was very down-to-earth. It was also GREAT to meet other people who'd had the surgery I had, to hear their experiences, and to look forward to what the future holds. It was, overall, an awesome weekend. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
