| UPDATE: I had my nurse consultation at Methodist Hospital on Wednesday, October 8, and it went very well. I left that meeting with a renewed hope and a sense that "Yes, this really IS going to happen!" I hadn't felt that for awhile, what with my paperwork getting misplaced after switching hospitals to speed up the process (gotta love the irony). At any rate, I should be able to set up a surgeon appointment within the next week or two, and that means that it is possible I could have surgery sometime in December. YAY! |

| MORE UPDATES! My insurance approved my surgery, and I was able to schedule an appointment with the surgeon for Monday, NOVEMBER 3! That's ONE WEEK AWAY!!! I couldn't BE more excited! YAY!! |
| LATEST WLS NEWS! Surgery went well. I came home December 5, 2003. Only complication: LOTS of back pain! As of today, 03 January 2004, I've lost: 28.5 inches and 47 pounds! My dietician gave me the "Good Girl" award yesterday, for following the restrictions to the letter! :) |
