| For the first eight years of my life, I grew up in Nibelheim. I always looked up to my big brother Cloud. I trusted him. We could tell each other anything. Whenever I needed someone it was him I would run to. I remember the day he announced he was leaving to join SOLDIER. I was only six years old and he was only fourteen.He was so cocky and arrogant. It was so clear why he wanted to go. He felt the need to impress Tifa. Or maybe he felt the need to repay her Maybe he thougt it was his fault she fell, every one blamed him. Seven days after I turned eight, tifa came to me and announced that she heard SOLDIER was coming to town. Since my big broter had left, Tifa became my new best friend, my new support. I was so excited, because I thought in ten days, I would get to see my big brother. He never came, so I thought. But Tifa knew better. We all watched as their cocky leader lead them in. I knew when I saw him that he was trouble. I didn't know how right I was. He set the town to flames just to get Jenova, what he thought to be his mother.Maybe someone should tell him about Lucrecia and Hojo. I was infuriated. I had to watch my home town burn to ashes as Tifa's trainer, Zangan, rushed me to Cosmo Canyon. I never even got to tell my mother good-bye. Maybe though it was all meant to be. Because when we got to Cosmo Canyon, I met Nanaki. He became a close friend, and sadly, no thanks to Shinra, I was seperated from another one I has grew to love. When Tifa strolled into Cosmo Canyon to take me with her to Midgar, I felt strange. Something kept saying to me, that I would find my big brother and I would stop the plague that was destroying the planet that I love. I was nine years old then, I still hear those words, and it has been four years. Was I really sent to protect the planet? If so, from what? | ||||
