| I am a the son of the original Kalm Traveler, but after he died I began to go by his name. I had a hard childhood everyone in town trying to make me into somthing I wasn't. Everyone in town wanted me to be a mythril miner but my true passion was to enter SOLDIER and become the best there was, just like Sephiroth. And when the time came for us to leave home and take jobs all the other boys headed to the Mythril mines, while I headed for higher things in Midgar. After I was accepted into SOLDIER I was over joyed. Everything was going good in my life except one thing, my father. He was a true pacafist, and hated my fighting ways, but there was no time to think about this, I had to worry about my first mission. It was a simple mission, me and 2 other guys had to clear out the monsters in the Kalm area. It was a chance to go back to my home town, but I chose to not enter the city, and just compleet my mission. Well during the mission we destroyed a loose Cromwell and while checking it for items we found a Kalm fang pup laying under it, it had been badly hurt by the Cromwell, and was near death. I had killed many of these beasts before, and even though I knew that a Kalm Fang pup would turn into a Kalm Fang adult, seeing this little puppy with his purple fur, and his twinkiling eyes looking right up at me, I had to take him in. The other guys said I was crazy but I just couldn't look away from him. Over time I trained him and he became a loyal pet, and at anytime he would fight alongside me. Well by the time I made SOLDIER first class Shin-Ra was in turmoil. When I was about to go on a mission I got a call from my father, he said he had somthing for me and that he was about to "return to the planet." I didn't know what that meant at the time but I knew it was urgent. I came home to see him on his death bed. He told me he was proud of me and told me to find a man named Cloud, and that it was my job to protect the planet. With his last breath he pointed to a chest in the corner I opened it and saw some things that amazed me. I found a Mythril saber, a Mythril armlet, along with a whole suit of Mythril armor, with exception of a helmet which he knew I would never wear, and three other items that could only be explained as odd. They were an earth harp, a desert rose, and a guide book, but later I found that I could use these items as my limit breaks. I put the armor on and it fit like a glove, and that same day I filed my resigination, and went on the search for Cloud. | ||||
