J~E~I~N~E ~ M~A~R~E~L~A~N

      • Full Name - Jeine Adelle Marelan Aes Sedai
      • Position - Aes Sedai of the Gray Ajah
      • Character Summary:
A newly raised Gray sister, Jeine has recently returned from Tanchico, where she served as an assistant to Kielle Daranovi, who was at the court of King Beymer ibn Dalhuaar of Tarabon in a Tower-brokered effort at quelling hostilities between Arad Doman and Tarabon. Intelligent and quick-witted, Jeine is proud of her days as a singer and jongleur in Lugard, and is not above lacing political barbs among songs that she composes and distributes secretly as part of her diplomatic efforts.
      • Affiliation - Brown Ajah, White Tower
      • Extended Background:

          (Coming Soon...)

Jeine Sedai has taken two protégés. Celeine Tavolin, an Cairhienin-born novice and Emelyn Collen, an Andoran in her third year of Acceptance. Rosara Carlores, a sister Gray from Tear is her confidant and closest companion in the Tower.

      • Character Description:
Neat and slender, Jeine Marelan is a tall Ghealdanin woman with glossy brown hair and light gray eyes. As a newly raised Aes Sedai, she lacks the ageless appearance of her sister who have worked long with the Power. Jeine wears a simply cut riding dress from pewter colored silk, with a high neckline and long sleeves and the skirts divided. The dress is embroidered in two shades of blue thread around the cuffs and in a band around the hem, making out a vaguely floral pattern, within an interlacing border. Trims of fresh white lace from Aerine curl at Jeine's throat and wrists. Jeine's hair is worn loose, pent back by two small combs of carved ivory, and she wears a large black pearl on a long silver chain. A fine cape of deep grey wool, lined with silver lynx, is worn over her dress, held with a large silver ring and pin. Heeled riding boots of grey sueded leather can be seen beneath her hems, and she wears a well-made beltknife in an unadorned leather sheath on her belt.

        • Celeine Tavolin:
          • Character Summary:
A small wisp of a girl, Celeine Tavolin is a Cairhienin-born novice from Taien, who Jeine has taken an interest in as a student.
          • Character Description:
Celeine Tavolin is aged three and ten, and is among the youngest of the novices. Dainty and diminutive, with, and sleek, shining black hair, worn in looped braids behind her head, she seems like a little girl, for even as adults, Cairhienin women are not tall. Her milky fair skin and black, glossy eyes are set in a sweet, guileless face. Celeine wears a simple novice's frock, bleached and pressed white wool, with bleached doeskin slippers.
        • Emelyn Collen:
          • Character Summary:
A cerebral, serious-minded Accepted from Andor, Emelyn Collen is noted as being able to force her will on her age-mates while still enjoying friendly relationships - this is a skill that earned the eye of the Gray Ajah. Jeine Marelan has been tasked with seeing to it that she leans towards the Grays come the day. To that end, she has taken her as a secretary and traveling companion.
          • Character Description:
Slim bodied, and fair skinned, Emelyn Collen wears her dark brown hair long, gathered in a tail down her back. Not pretty, nor ugly, she is bland faced, yet her ethereal seriousness is apparent in her brown eyes. She wears a crisply pressed Accepted's habit; snowy white wool, banded with seen stripes at cuff and hem. A simple silver bangle is worn on her wrist, and the opposite hand as her Great Serpent ring.
        • Rosara Carlores:
          • Character Summary:
A young, hot-tempered Gray, Rosara Carlores is odd choice for a staid diplomat. Raised in abject poverty in the central lands of Tear, Rosara came to Tar Valon illiterate and scarcely able to dress her own hair. She was discovered by Helina Sorolios, an estimable Gray sister appointed to control the negotiations and settlement when the Tower-led expedition to quell Balim Nishara's incursion as a False Dragon came to an end. Rosara is among the strongest sisters of her young generation, and it is her manifesting strength that allowed her teachers to overlook her less than genteel demeanor. In time, she mastered the niceties of civilization, and learned to attire herself with style and panache, yet she is unwilling to tame her wild, rollicking hair. She and Jeine became friends during their time as novices and Accepted together. She is believed to assist Helina Sedai in administering the Gray's network of Eyes and Ears.
          • Character Description:
Dark complected, with skin the color of aged teak, and long, tussled, rollicking black hair, Rosara Carlores appears ready to lunge into brawl, or at the very least, unleash a torrent of bitter insults. Her lovely face is perpetually on the edge of a tantrum, and she often can be seen biting her dark, current colored lip, and her eyes often narrow in perceived slight. Indeed, she is habitually slamming things down, or tossing her hands up in exasperation. Rosara wears a soft gray silk, in the Tairen style, high neckline, bodice fastened up the side, and long narrow sleeves. The dress is richly worked in silver thread along the sleeves and hems, making out a labyrinthine pattern of interlocked squarish-scrolls. Dark gray velvet slippers peek out from under the skirts, and she wears a flowing pelisse of cream-colored linen, fastidiously sewn in blue and gray silken threads all along the edges, Rosara is young, not merely young seeming, lacking the ageless quality of her more experienced sisters. Simple, yet elegant jewels, silver studded with small moonstones and blue opals, hang at her ears and around her neck.
        • Kielle Daranovi:
          • Character Summary:
An old, powerful Gray sister, Kielle Daranovi once was a former Keeper to Aizan Masadi, the last Gray, prior to Elsebedhe Bodwell, to wear the stole. She has served as advisors to thrones, as well as emissary to others, and is regarded as one of the most accomplished diplomats in the Tower. She along with many sisters in the Gray, was a strident supporter of Elsbedhe Bodwell. In recent years, She was dispatched to Tanchico, to apply pressure on King Beymer of Tarabon to affect peace with King Vadin II of Arad Doman, and cease their squabbling over Almoth Plain. In truth, the plan was to broker a pact that would require the two nations to garrison the town of Falme, under the neutral governance of the White Tower in the hopes that Tar Valon would acquire a port on the Aryth Ocean.
          • Character Description:
Very short, especially for a Kandori woman, Kielle Daranovi, has dramatic dark brows over her large, appraising blue eyes, set in a taut, unlined face. Her once ash-blonde hair is now snowy white, worn gathered up in a dainty snood of electrum wires, studded with twinkling chips of amethyst. Full-waisted and buxom, she wears an imposing gown of dark charcoal colored silk, heavily brocaded , belted beneath her breasts by a wide velvet sash, thickly embroidered with gold, and hanging weighty golden tassels from its end, in the rear of her gown. The sleeves are flowing and dagged, with a matching tassel at the lowest point, and lined with sumptuous white ermine. A chemise of pristine white Maldine lace is worn under the gown, visible under the wide sleeves, and beneath the wide, vee-shaped neckline. Kielle wears an astounding necklace, amethysts the size of small plums strung along a thick golden cable, wrapped snug around her neck, and then draping loosely down her dcolletage. Her Great Serpent ring is lost amid the splendor her raiment.
