Tall, and very slender, Deylin Nianche is a Tairen rarity, with pale flaxen hair, and cobalt-blue eyes. Her hair is long and sleek, gleaming from careful attention, trailing down her back, the ends cut even and straight, and held off her face by a simple band of blue velvet. Her dress is misty pale blue silk, in the Tairen style, with long narrow sleeves and a high collar, embroidered in black thread and glittering beads of jet in the mazelike style of her homeland on her cuffs and hems, and in a doubled band around her waist. A long rope of blue-grey pearls is worn around her neck, down her bodice, and her Great Serpent ring shines brightly on her hand. Deylin Sedai wears a long cloak of dove-grey wool, trimmed with white fox, and embroidered along the edges in silver, making out a border of sinuous fish, leaping and cavorting.
