In June - July of 2001, I took a course at the University of Hong Kong. It was organized through U of T. I studied the History of Hong Kong with a fantastic, dynamic professor. I had a great time, and really enjoyed my first time in Mainland Asia. I did alot of shopping in Kowloon, visited the Big Buddha on Lantau Island, took a weekend trip to Mainland China (to Guangzhou / Canton) and survived a typhoon. I got a chance to go clubbing as well, and went to Propaganda, Zip and Works. Hong Kong is a pretty dynamic place and I'd recommend to anyone who had the time and the opportunity. |

Zip is honestly one of the nicest clubs I've been to anywhere. It's not all that large but it has this beautiful garden / courtyard in the back with plants and running water along the walls. |
