Parent's Den

Hi! Let me introduce myself. My name is Jill Perry. This is my 14th year of teaching. Ive been teaching K5 at Mitchell Road Elementary School for 7 years. Previously I taught 1st and 2nd grades. I graduated from Southern Wesleyan University in Early Childhood Education, and went to graduate school at Furman University.

Im the very proud mother of 2 beautiful children. My 21 year old son is a senior at the College of Charleston and is majoring in Business Management and Finance. My 6 year old daughter is in the 1st grade at Mitchell Road Elementary School. I love having her with me at MRES.

We love animals so our family would not be complete without a few. We have Kasey who is a temperamental black cat, a Rose-Haired tarantula named Hairy-It, and last but certainly not least is our beloved canine. Shu-Shu, a sweet little Japanese Chin, is my furry problem child.

My favorite things to do are to:

Spend time with my children and family
Go to church and Bible Study
Readespecially spine-tingling mysteries
Learn new things

I love to teach, and it is a very special honor to teach each and every child that enters my classroom. It is especially important to me that all my parents feel comfortable coming with any questions or concerns. Please dont hesitate to contact me in one of the following ways:
