Jim and the team took a complete brand new Maxim to the Easy Bay Winternationals in January. They time trialed okay despite a part breaking on the 26 during time trials. Jim started 6th in his heat race and was 5th by the end of the 1st lap. A car slid up the track,hit the wall and flipped. Jim slid his car sideways to avoid him. Sitting idle on the track against the wall Jim was hit by local driver Johnnny Gilbertson. This was a big hard crash that destroyed the car. Jim went to the hospital for a checkup,was okay but that led to months of frustrations. The team built a brand new car with the help of their sponsor Gambler. The car is a Gambler Chassis with a Gaerte motor. |
