For energy, the set makes use of 29 boilers weighing half a ton each. To provide the steam power necessary for this breakthrough technology, the set must consume 825 tons of coal per day, in order to make the steam. About 85 workers must toil daily and nightly in order to keep it going. It is approxamately 51,200 horsepower (however, with sound this number has to be a bit higher so more coal is in order). At the moment we simply do not have the horsepower needed to produce color television. As for physical dimensions, the television set is about the size of a two story house with a crisp viewing screen of approxamately 8". As our steam technology progresses, I predict in the future these sets will be three times this size and will be able to handle four different colors at once. |
