Pheeeewww! Finally the worst fear of my
life is over now...
Biathlon? Yes...this is something very new for me lah...
I never try this event before in my whole entire life lor...
Have to swim 800m and run 7 kilometer, sound very syok ya...
OK, let me tell u how interesting it is...
With only limited 2 weeks for me to train... |

Some more time are running out for me...I even skip my annual running event
in penang...Coz i wan to spend more time on swimming...
Lucky i meet Master Alden Yap, he is my sifu in swimming lah...After so many
decade we have chat in the net...
Finally i got the chance to meet him face to face...But i didn't koyak his
underwear lah...
Scare he won't teach me mah, then how arr?... We manage to train together
gether in swimming and running...
And all we do is, run and swim on the same day...Training like there's no
tomorrow for me lah...
I tot swimming is the easier part, in the end i was wrong...It take me 26
minutes to finish the 800m, can u believe it?...
Damn slow like hell...
I oso manage meet Ah Houn, one of Alden Yap friend...We swim and even race
together in the training...
So i was very excited lah, Ah Houn wan to race with me mah...Both of us are
using the 'katak' style wan...
Both of us are oso the same standard wan...Both of us are oso scare of deep
in the water wan...
And both of us are oso first timer wan... Along the way we swim, Master
Alden was checking our mistake...
Then with 200m to go...shoit! i got kena CRAMP lah kat my kaki...I totally
cannot move at all, i was shouting for TOLONG!...
Lucky Alden was there to look after me...phew!Ah Houn still continue the
swim, then he beat me lor...
@#$%^ why this thing happen to me with 4 more day left... Then another
following day, another kaki kena cramp again...
This is becoz running without shoe lor (3 more day left)...Nothing went rite
for me after kena the cramp...
Cramp here, cramp there, cramp everywhere...Really cilaka lah, i feel like
wan to surrender liao lor...
But Alden Yap always help me from the difficult part... Went for my final
training, just take it easy liao...
Don't dare to push push oredi, so scare of the word CRAMP!...My timing was
very slowcoach like kura-kura lah...
B'coz all the pain are still there...A little bit of push, the pain come
immediately...
The only thing to do is, carbo loading... |

OK, this is wat everybody was waiting for...the race day...Starting time is
8.00am, ayo! i can feel the sun is coming up liao lah...
Ah Beh and Berry was there too, they are my klang runner buddy...And never
forget the m'sia powerman & power gel in vet. category...

So we all meet up at Chin Woo stadium at 7:00am...
Then went for the registration, collect t-shirt and bib number...
There's are total 23 participant in our open category...
Pst!..pst!..Eugene Chan and his younger brader oso there lah...
Habis lah everybody, 'bee boh end' (smell no smoke)...
The interesting part for this race is...
They use a marker pen to write on your body...
Any part oso can lah, up to u...as a indication (like tatoo)...
This is really like a triathlon type lah...
It's really make u look like very marcho man...
There's are some part of the rules that everyone must follow...
R1, u are only allow to pakai underwear (or spender lah) in the
pool...
R2, goggles and swim cap are oso allow (but Berry tak bawah)...
R3, after finish the swim, everyone must wear their running vest...
R4, short pant are optional, but i don't think i dare enough lah...
running without s/pant in the street (malu mah) scare my bird flyway...
Oriat, let get ready!...
Everybody in the pool (i tot we have to jump lor?)...
Nolah...Phew!... lucky don't need to do that...
I only know how to jump down, but don't know how to jump up...hehe..
So i was in the same lane with Berry, Ah Beh on the other lane...
Anything goes wrong, Berry can look after me mah...
Each of everyone must swim 25m x 32lap = 800m...
For the last lap, the marshal will knock on your head to inform u...
Oriat, let get started!...
Once the whistle is blow, bang! there's goes everyone...
I can hear the water splashing very strong from left and right...
Everybody was shouting and cheering for their partner...
I can see every swimmer movement like a torpedo...
The first person come out from the pool is Eugene Chan (wow!)...
My goodness, i still got half way to go...wat the @#$%^&%$#...

Damn! I wish i'm oso a torpedo like they all...
After that, Ah Beh and Berry oso finish their swim liao...
The water sound movement oso getting quiet oredi...
I still got 4th lap to go, 'n that only leave me and Ah Houn in the pool...
Ha..ha..ha.. stiil the same person race with me in the pool... |

Finally is my last lap, huray! so i pon turbo like torpedo kura-kura
lah...
How fast can that kura-kura go?, ermmm...0.005km/p?...he..he..
When i came up from the pool, Ah Houn was still in the pool...
And my timing showing 26min 20sec, damn! so shy to tell u all lah...
Then i quickly wear my west, pant and shoe in a big open area...
That's make me very embarrassing, malu, paiseh and black head lor...
B'coz everybodys was looking rite at me...
Seem like everybody know who the pacemaker is...
Ah Houn still got one lap to go, Yahoo! i still manage to beat him...
A hope Ah Houn won't chop me into 18 pieces...
After finish up pakai baju, quickly trubo like mad kerbau...
Teng! teng! teng! teng!...time to potong sayur...
But my kaki very berat lah, after come up from the pool...
A few minutes later, can see some sayur-sayuran oredi...
He..he..he...then apa lagi...potong kasi lah...
After 2km of running, i saw Master Alden Yap...
Wah, so happy lah gua, but after potong sayur on him...
I only realize he is heading for the 2nd round oredi...cis!...
That mean i lost to him by one big round (approx: 2km per round)...
Along the way i run, quite a lot of marshall in every junction...
Hmmm, mostly is from Pacesetters Permaisuri runner...
Well done permaisuri runner!!! Hip Hip Hurray!!!...
After finish the my 1st lap, and collect my check point...
Then only i saw Berry, just say hi to him and continue my turbo...
A minute later, then i saw Ah Beh...
He was like, run and walk run and walk (but he is ok lah)...
Suddenly someone speeding very fast from my back...
Oooo, Alden Yap! He wanted to finish liao, that why so fast lah...
Cannot race with him, i still got one more lap to go leh...
Saw he collect the 3rd check point, me only going for the 2nd...
Eeeee.....so jealous lah gua...
Half way to the 2nd lap, the weather is getting hotter and hotter...
The feeling is like, burning a barbeque inside the toilet...
Then suddenly saw John Tan & wife cheering at me...
They shout, seow kia! seow kia! (mean orang giler lah)...
Wah! my energy come back immediately 100% lor...
Going for my final lap, (then apa lagi!) turbo as fast as possible lah...
Before collecting my final check point, saw Berry again...
He still got 1 more lap to go, i think he run out of gas liao lah...
So pity on him, bcoz he's the last runner to reach the finishing line... |

Sprint to finishing line, saw Han Ng (d' camera man) snaping photo...
I don't know how many photo he has been snaping on me?...

Finally the medal was put on my neck by the president of chin woo...
Deep in my heart, i feel like wan to scream out loud lah...
I'm so damn bloody happy, coz all the struggling is over liao...
And my timing showing...jeng...jeng...jeng...jeng...
26:20 (swim) + 32:06 (run) total time = 58min. 26sec...
Position is 13th out of 23rd runner, Ah Beh (18th) Berry (23rd)...
Oh yes! Malaysia powerman and powergel Mr. Vincent Wong...
Got a podium finish lor, he got 3rd placing in veteran category...
This time i don't have to watch his buntut...he..he..he...
Person to thank is Master Alden Yap, for helping me so much...
Until his wallet oso kena curi in the training...
I feel very guilty lah, for causing so much trouble for him...
He oso introduce me to all the permaisuri gangster runner...
And they are, Phoon, Chee Kit, Gary, Han Ng, Cheri Cheri Lady...
Eric, Yit Kiat, Grace and the rest i forgot liao lah, sori ya...
