Peanut bread

(from a pamphlet of Skippy recipes and fun facts)


Yield: 1 loaf

500 ml (2 cups) flour
125 ml (1/2 cup) sugar
10 ml (2 tsp) baking powder
5 ml (1 tsp) salt
200 ml (4/5 cup) Skippy Extra Smooth Peanut Butter
1 egg, beaten
500 ml (2 cups) milk

1. Preheat oven to 180 C.
2. In a bowl, mix the flour, sugar, baking powder and salt.
3. In a separate bowl, beat the Skippy Peanut butter, egg and milk and pour into the flour mixture, stirring just enough to moisten the dry ingredients.
4. Pour into a greased loaf tin and bake for 1 hour or until the skewer, when inserted, comes out clean.
