Blonde brownies

(from Ross University School of Vetrinary Medicine -- St. Kitts, West Indies -- 7th Semester Cookbook -- Class of 2003 -- via my housemate's sister)


Yield: 1 [whatever size used] pan's worth of brownies

2 cups unsifted flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
1/4 tsp baking powder
2/3 cup butter
2 cups brown sugar
2 eggs (lightly beaten)
2 tsp vanilla
1 cup chocolate chips

1. Preheat oven to 350 F.
2. Mix together four, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
3. Melt butter and brown sugar in saucepan (low heat).
4. SLOWLY beat in eggs and vanilla into pan with butter and brown sugar (don't scramble eggs).
5. Add flour mixture to pan slowly.
6. Grease a 13x9 inch pan and add entire mixture.
7. Sprinkle chocolate chips on top.
8. Bake for 30 minutes.
