More pictures of my fish.
Big Guy
Things I find amusing...
Big Guy
"Big Guy" --  His name says it all, one of my favorites.
He loved fresh veggies, and pooped accordingly!

He passed away around 2005.
Betta splendens, C. paleatus, and black mollies
Big Guy again, chasing a zucchini wafer.
In March 2000, he was moved from a 50 gallon (where he'd spent most of his life)
to a 130 gallon
(where he spent the remainder of his life).

His first name was "Freebie", as 2 of his predecessors quickly passed on due to malnutrition during shipping and at the store.  He was replaced at no charge, and I've since learned to look for a rounded belly when purchasing a lory.
A feeding frenzy! Betta, cories, and mollies feasting on algae wafers in the 12 gallon.
Kitty, making an entrance
I've found "The Complete Idiot's Guide to Freshwater Aquariums" to be very valuable.

By Mike Wickham, ISBN 0-87605-327-4, and not to be confused with the Dummies book.

Another long-term resource is the Baensch series.  I currently have volumes I and II.
Why fish?
I am often asked, "why do you keep fish?"

It's several things; I enjoy watching these animals in an environment which is totally foreign to us.  Their behavior and personality (yes, personality) take time to appreciate, and goes to a new level when they spawn.
It keeps me learning, every day.  And like much in life, despite the hassles and challenges, it's worth it.
A rare photo opp of Kitty, a pictus catfish.
He  loves his cave, and rarely ventures out except at feeding time.

S/He eats flake food, shrimp pellets, spirulina wafers,
and adores live bloodworms.
