Well, this is the page where anything and everything could happen...but will it happen? This page is where I have complete and utter CONTROL! In other words, it's my rant page. No more phoning friends at 3 o'clock in the morning, no more one-way conversations with my dog...no...the world has changed! I will use this page...so...beware. For, I am not responsible for what goes on this black screen:
Jan. 20, 2002 So, I'm gathering if most of you out there are around the same age as me, we all have exams coming up. Right? Wrong. There should be no exams. Why examine us? Think about it...90% of us will end up at desk jobs which don't even require high school diplomas. And the whole "thinking outside of the box" concept? How are you supposed to think outside of the box when you work in a freaking cubicle? Explain that one to me.
And its not just exams that irritate me. Tests. Why do we take tests? We memorize useless crap which we never retain any post-knowledge of, never end up using this so-called important information, and we all the know the teachers don't even care - it's just extra marking for them. And so, we have now come to our answer for all of the above: the government. That's right...the government does this to us. Makes us crazy and nuts, even though we already are crazy and nuts. From ages 13-19, you are stuck in a cycle. No, not the cycle of life...the 'Ohmigod-Now-What?!' cycle...
Jan. 27, 2002 Anyway, I know your heart skipped a little when you heard about my poor little fish!, but I have yet another complaint: tomorrow, in biology class, I am going to be forced to do a dissection...on a rat! A mammal whose anatomy is similar in structure to mine! This is an outrage! I urge you all to join in with me in protesting this horrible act of cutting open this creature. This is barbaric! What's next, using you all for meat when we run out of cows? I mean, really! What are we to learn from cutting open this poor, defenseless little animal? Nothing! We have textbooks, pictures, interactive dissections on computers, etc. etc. The list goes on and on. Explain to me why we have to experience this live, especially when there is no way I am even going to go into the science field where I will have to know how to cut something - which once was living - open. No freaking way! I think that it should definately not be a requirement, but a choice. *hrmph* Well...just thought you should know!...so...continue browsing my page. Now...go!
