Backgrounds 101

Note: All of this information is for Windows. If you have a Mac, sorry, I can't help.

What *is* a background?
~The image/colour/design that apears on the screen, behind the icons, menus, and windows.

How do I change it?
~Very simple. Right mouse-click anywhere on the screen that isn't an icon or window or anything. From the menu that pops up choose "properties". Vualla! In the 'wallpaper' box click the "browse" button to select your background.

How do I save your backgrounds?
~Left mouse-click on a thumbnail. Right mouse-click on the full sized image, and choose the "save picture as" option. Name the image and put it in the desired folder.

I don't know how the file system works.
~In the 'save' window, there is a menu after the words "Save in:" at the top. Click the little triangle to bring it down. Select the "C:" drive (hard drive). From here, click the icon at the top of the window that looks like a sparkling folder. Its the "create new folder" icon. Name the folder "Backgrounds" or whatever else you want to name it. Save all your backgrounds to this folder. You can always get to this folder again by accessing the C: drive via that delightful little triange.
