If I were a fairy with purple wings
I'd fly round the world like the bees
I would suck the honey from flowers
To make me sweeter than a bowl full of sugar
I'd grant you a wish of your very own.
I'd even build you a beautiful home.

We could live together in a yellow buttercup
Fragranced with our love
Sweet and spicy like cinnamon and spice.
We could bath in the glistening dewdrops from the rain.
We could play hide and seek
And I'd call out your name.

If I were a fairy then what would you be?
Peter Pan perhaps like on T.V.
I could be Thumbalina.
We would be so tiny we could fit
Within the palm of a hand
And we would have to stand.

If I were a fairy we could live in fairyland
Where all things are beautiful and grand
There would be plenty of love to spill over
Into our tomorrows and we wouldn't know sorrow.
I would protect you with my silken wings.
Oh if I were only a fairy and not a human being…
