"Knowing The Will Of God"

Through The Scriptures

The best way to study a subject often begins with a definition of the subject:

What do we mean by the will of God?

It is that Holy and stated purpose of the Father to make His dear children as much like Christ as possible.
Without a doubt the most important factor in finding Gods will is the Bible itself. God speaks to us not in some loud voice always ...but through the scriptures,,.and in an inner voice if we are tuned in to receive.

]The scriptures declare He does have a definite will for my life.
Psalm 37:23
The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord and He delights in His way.

God has mapped out our lives and when we give them over to Him....
He is happy when we follow the way He has set out before us.

Psalm 32:8,9
I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go.... I will guide you with my eye.(9) Do not be like the horse or like the mule...which have no understanding...which must be harnessed with bit and bridle...else they will not come near you.

God has entered this psalm and reminds us not to be stubborn like a mule in other words He is saying dont resist follow my teachings and I will show you the right way and I will guide you with my eye.

God can see our future He knows what heaven is like and He also knows the finished product of what my mansion looks like and what it is made of.

My vision is not limited to what some translations say that my fathers house Has many rooms....But...to where it says My Fathers house has many mansions ...God does not wish to bridle us or put a bit in our mouths and lead us around...He expects us to follow of our own accord and promptly.

Ephesians 2:10
For we are His workmanship....created in Christ Jesus for good works which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.

We those who believe were created at the cross...created in His Son to do good works...miracles...signs and wonders...created to raise the dead to life and this was done even before we were born again and in this the gifts of the Holy Spirit we were to walk in them and use them as a natural extension of ourselves through Christ Jesus.

Hebrews 12:1
Therefore we also since we are surrounded by so great a cloud (crowd) of witnesses...let us lay aside every weight and sin which so easily ensnares us and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us.

Even before I ever knew this verse even existed I always tried to train my runners in Ontario special Olympics to run with weighted backpacks. I believed if they ran with the weight in the packs and gave it their best shot then when I took the packs off, that they should even show a better
time in running.

You know something? It worked.

Just imagine what we could do if we cast off our load of sin how we could run the race of faith He has set before us as Christians.

God desires us to know His will for our lives.
Ephesians 5:17
Therefore do not be unwise...but understand what the will of the Lord is.

Discerning the will of the Lord is not a matter of feeling or emotion but a mental, spiritual, and emotional application in the understanding of the scriptures in our daily walk.

One of Gods expectations is the Christian should read,,,feed...and understand His Holy Word...the Bible.

Isaiah 58:11
The Lord will Guide you continually...and satisfy your soul in drought...and strengthen your bones...you should be like a watered garden and like a spring of water...whose waters do not fail.

As long as you trust in God...He will guide you continually. Never faltering....constant and when you feel....tired....dragged down....unfruitful....He will give you strength....you will be like a watered garden...youll blossom and bear fruit you will be like a perpetual spring ....an artesian well and your water will not stop.

A watered garden and a spring are similes for prosperity and the blessing of Gods salvation.

Gods will is specific.

Isaiah 30:21
Your ears will hear a word behind you....saying...this is the way...walk in it...whenever you turn to the right hand...or whenever you turn to the left.

When you walk as God would have you walk associating yourself with other believers...reading the word...praying for understanding that word and heeding the discernment you receive then you will hear your conscience...the voice of God through the Holy spirit...saying...this is the way...walk in it.... He will guide your steps.

Gods will is profitable.

Joshua 1:8

This book of the law shall not depart from your mouth...but you shall meditate in it day and night...that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it.

To meditate- I like to think of the word meditate in four different parts...me...did...it...ate and when you have eaten something after chewing on it you swallow it and is digested by your body...it nourishes you....and it becomes part of your being. We have to do this with Gods word otherwise we cannot grow we cannot just take certain parts of the word that do not cause us to sit up and take notice if we do wrong we have to digest the good and the bad.

Psalm 1:1,2,3
Blessed is the man that walks not in the counsel of the ungodly nor stands in the path of sinners nor sits in the seat of the scornful (2) but His delight is in the law of the Lord and in His law He meditates day and night (3) He shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water that brings forth fruit in its season whose leaf shall not wither and whatever He does shall prosper.

Psalm one is a wisdom Psalm and presents a vivid picture or contrast between the way of the righteous verses 1-3 and the way of the wicked in verses 4-6 this Psalm serves as an introduction to the entire book of Psalms and it starts out with a beatitude or in other words a blessing.

The Psalm is like a beacon of light piercing the darkness of a stormy night...it Illuminates and points to the truth even when the falsehoods or lies of our culture or upbringing cloud our thinking.

This Psalm says there is only one way and to ignore this way is death.

The Hebrew word for man in verse one means person and does not refer to the male species only.

The paralleling or side by side comparisons in this verse speaks of an increasingly deeper involvement with wickedness walking beside...standing with....sitting beside... the same goes for the wicked the terms for them is progressive also.

Ungodly ...sinners.....scornful. The picture this verse portrays is of an ideal righteous person...one who is in the world...but not of or affected by the world.

But His Delight The contrast is strong... instead of finding enjoyment in entanglements with wicked persons....the Godly person male or female finds their deep enjoyment in the things of God particularity the word of God.

The Law of the Lord refers to the first five books in the old testament called the Pentateuch in Hebraic teaching.

The Hebrew word for law shows the idea of God pointing out the path for life in fellowship with Him. (Psalm19:7-11)

Meditate means to Humble or speak to oneself. (Psalm 4:4)

Biblical meditation means focusing the mind on scripture.

This word picture like a tree presents an image of a desert date palm that has been firmly planted in well watered oasis (Jeremiah 17:8) everything about the tree is valuable and productive to God. Likewise the righteous are valuable and productive to God ....and are people in whom he finds pleasure (Psalm 33:15; 147:11)

Shall prosper: is not a guarantee of future financial worth of the righteous...rather....the righteous person is always useful and productive to the Lord.

What is the will of God for us? As we have seen and already noted...it differs from believer to believer. But here are four aspects in the will of God that apply to every Christian:
A) It is His will that we learn more about God.(Colossians 1:9)
B) It is His will that we Grow in Grace (1 Thessalonians 4:3)
C) It is His will that we study His word (2 Timothy 3:14-17)
D) It is will that we share our faith: (Acts 1:8; 1 Timothy 2:4; 2 Peter 3:9)
A) It is His will that we learn more about God:

Colossians 1:9

For this reason we also...since the day we heard it...do not cease to pray for you...and to ask that you be filled with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom and Spiritual understanding.

Pauls chief concern was that the desire to serve God would be in vain if they didnt have full knowledge of Gods will. Paul prayed the Collossian Christians would be filled with all wisdom and Spiritual understanding.

Wisdom is the practical outworking of knowledge (James 3:17) and that knowledge cannot be separated from the spiritual understanding that comes through the discernment given by the Holy Spirit.

B) It is His will that we grow in grace:
1 Thessalonians 4:3

For this is the will of God your sanctification...that you should abstain from sexual immorality.

A Major problem of the early church was maintaining sexual purity. (1 Corinthians 5:1, 9-11) pagan religions often condoned sexual immoralities as part of their rites and religious practices and ancient roman culture had few sexual boundaries.

Paul cautioned them about having any sexual encounters outside of the marriage bed as he reminded them about the human body...our bodies are Gods temple and should be kept holy. (1 Corinthians 6:18-20)

C)It is will that we study His word:
2 Timothy 3:14-17

But you must continue in the things which you have learned and be assured of ...knowing from whom you have learned them. (15) and from childhood you have know the Holy Scriptures...which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.(16)all scripture is given by inspiration of God...and is profitable for doctrine..for reproof...for correction for instruction in righteousness.(17)that the man of God may be complete....thoroughly equipped for every good work.

Gods work and the Spirit of God are both essential for our salvation. The word of God without the Spirit of God without the Spirit of God is lifeless....it has no power to Act.

But the word of God empowered by the Spirit of God becomes a living force in our lives. Paul emphasizes the pre-eminence of all scripture given by inspiration is literally God given or God breathed.

Paul teaches that God was actively involved in the revalation of His truth to the apostle ...and prophets who wrote it down.

The author of the Bible is God himself and so the scripture is true in all that affirms (1 Peter 1:20,21) and is completely authoritive.

The study of the Bible is profitable in at least four ways:
Doctrine: is teaching...Paul highlights correct teaching first.

Reproof:
is conviction ...this is not simply a rebuke it is demonstrating some truth beyond dispute.

Correction: refers to setting something straight.

Instruction: refers to the process of training a child.

In this list only one of these terms is directed to knowledge and information and that is doctrine. The rest involves a change in life. Knowledge that does not change ones life is useless. The study of the scripture will make a believer complete ..... meaning capable or proficient ..... Thoroughly equipped means fully prepared...the person who masters the word of God will never lose his/her way.

Every good work: if a person applies the knowledge he/she receives to their daily lives then right doctrine should produce right practice. If a Christian covers themselves under the blood daily Nothing! AND I MEAN Nothing! Can separate or come between them and God.

D)It is His will that we share our faith.

Acts 1:8

But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you...and you shall be witnesses to me in Jerusalem....and in all Judea and Samaria...and to the end of the earth.

This power was given to the disciples to take the gospel to the ends of the earth.

Be witnesses was Christs command then and now to tell about Him no matter the consequences. Our task is not to convince people.....but to testify of the truth of the gospel.

1 Timothy 2:4 Who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.

"Who desires all men to be saved": Paul says God desires or wishes all men to be saved but realizes that only those who believe will receive salvation.

We know Christ died for the sins of the world (John 3:16: 2 Corinthians 5: 14, 15) but is longsuffering toward us....not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.

The delay of Gods Judgement is not due to slackness or laziness but to His longsuffering or patient attitude toward us his people not wanting any to perish but have everlasting life.

Through prayer and fasting:

Soon after Israel had invaded Palestine in the days of Joshua...the Israelites were tricked into signing an unscriptural peace treaty with a group of deceitful pagans. The cause for this tragic error is clearly stated in Gods word.

Joshua 9: 14
And the men asked not counsel at the mouth of the Lord.

These pagans the Gibeonites...brought only trouble to Israel. (Joshua 10:4, 5: 2 Samuel 21:1-14)

It therefore becomes immediately obvious that one of the most important factors in knowing Gods will for our lives is to pray.

James 1:5
If any of you lack wisdom....let him ask of God...that giveth to all men liberally....and abraideth not ...and it shall be given Him.

Definition: Abraideth:
Does not criticize severely....does not find fault with....does not reproach severely....and does not scold vehemently or in other words intensely.

In the light of these passages it is evident a Christian must pray to know Gods will. IN other words, Bible words and fasting are linked with prayer.

A) Meaning of fasting:
To fast is to abstain for a period of time from some important and necessary activity in our lives.

B) Purpose of fasting:
This is done so that we might spend that time in prayer before God with no interruptions.

C) kinds of Fasting:
One may for a time refrain from sleep....marital sex...or food for examples.

Refrain from sleep:
2 Corintians 6:5

In stripes...in imprisonments....in tumults...in labors....in sleeplessness....in fasting.

Marital sex:
1 Corinthians 7: 1-5

It is good for a man not to touch a woman (2) never-theless because of sexual immorality...let each man have his own wife...and set each woman have her own husband(3) let the husband render to his wife the affection due her....and likewise the wife to her husband (4) the wife does not have authority over her own body....but the husband does. And likewise the husband does not have authority over his own body....but the wife does. (5) Do not deprive one another except with consent for a time...that you may give yourselves to fasting and prayer....and come again so that Satan does not tempt you because of your lack of self control.

Because of immorality Paul says that those who might be tempted to sin sexually should look for a mate of the opposite sex and develop a permanent relationship with a wife or husband then to do the sexual act in sin.

Food:
Matthew 4:1,2

Then Jesus was led up by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil....and when he had fasted forty days and forty nights....afterward he was hungry.

Satan did not lead Jesus to the temptation the Holy Spirit did. This temptation took place immediately after Jesus Baptism (see Mark 1:12) Spiritual victories are often followed by testing (see 1 King 19)

Sleeplessness:
Is not insomnia but going without sleep voluntarily in order to spend more time in ministry receiving from God.

2 Corinthians 11:27
In weariness...in toil....in sleeplessness often...in hunger and thirst....in fasting often ....in cold and makedness.

Hunger and Thirst:
Means involuntarily going without food and drink...fasting means to do it voluntarily for the sake fo receiving from God.

Through Prayer and Fasting:

Examples of Biblical fasting: Deuteronomy 9;9 (18, 25-29)
Moses

When I went up into the mountain to receive the tablets of stone....the tablets of the covenant which the Lord made with you....then I stayed on the mountain forty days and forty nights...I neither ate bread or drank water.

A person cannot go much more than three days without water before their body functions start to shut down but God intervened with Moses and supernaturally preserved Moses during the forty days and nights.

Elijah 1 King 19;8
so He arose...ate and drank....and He went in the strength of that food forty days and forty nights as far as Horeb... the mountain of God.

As it frequently does in the scriptures Horeb refers to mount Sinai itself the mountain of God. (See Exodus 3:1)

Daniel
Daniel 9:3; 10:3

Then I set my face toward the Lord God to make request by prayer and supplications...with fasting..sackcloth...and ashes.

Daniel 10:3
I ate no pleasant food...no meat....or wine came into my mouth....nor did I anoint myself at all...till three whole weeks were fulfilled.(V.2) Three full weeks or (V.3) Three whole weeks refers to Daniels observing of the Passover and the feast of the unleavened bread which took place during the first month of the Hebraic calendar. (Exodus 12: 1-20)

The Passover is celebrated on the fourteenth of the month and the feast of the unleavened bread for the next eight days with the whole festival ending on the twenty-first day of the month.

Ezra Ezra 10:6
Now therefore...let us make a covenant with our God to put away all these wives and those who have been born to them...according to the advice or my master and of those who tremble at the commandment of our God...and let it be done according to the law.

Making a covenant with God means binding ones self by and oath to God to do something. It is the most binding form of commitment a person could make at that time or even now.

Nehemiah
Nehemiah 1:4

So it was ...when I heard these words...that I sat down and wept...and mourned for many days...I was fasting and praying before the God of heaven.

Nehemiah was deeply disturbed because without a wall...Jerusalem was vulnerable to attack. The riches of the temple treasury (Ezra 8:15-36) would have been Quite a temptation for Israels enemies. God of heaven: This title for God is used quite frequently in the books of Nehemiah and Ezra.

Paul
2 Corinthians 6:5....11:27

In stripes...in imprisonments...in tumults...in labors...in sleeplessness....in fasting. (27) in weariness...in toil....in sleeplessness...often in hunger and thirst...in fasting...often in cold and nakedness.

Through submission to the Spirit

The moment a repenting sinner receives Christ by faith into His heart the Holy Spirit immediately does five things for him or her: #1) He regenerates the believer: That is He gives him/her a new nature. John 3:5,6
Jesus answered...most assuredly...I say to you...unless one is born of water and the Spirit He can not enter the kingdom of God. (6) that which is born of the flesh is flesh...and that which is born of the Spirit is Spirit.

According to biblical scholars there are several interpretations or understandings of the phrase Born of water and the Spirit.

My personal view is that we have to be baptized not only by the Spirit of God or as we know it and call it the Holy Spirit. I presume this since we know we come from the womb of our mother where we are immersed in the water of our mother and so when Jesus said we must be also born of water we must presume He means if my God and my father gave me direction to go this way and be immersed in water by John the Baptist then you should do this also.

Titus 3:5
Not by works of righteousness which we have done..but according to His mercy He saved us through the washing of regeneration and the renewing of the Holy Spirit.

Good works will not save any person...rather it depends on the basis of Gods mercy that we are delivered .... this refers to the works of the Holy Spirit...who in a moment makes a person new by the cleansing ...new birth...renewing of the Holy Spirit...is the continual process of Christian living and is enabled by the Holy Spirit resulting in the growth in character and good works.

#2) He baptizes: The believer into the body of Christ.
1 Corinthians 12:13
For by one Spirit...we were all baptized into one body...wether Jew...Greek...Wether slaves or free...and have all been made drink into one Spirit.

One Spirit one body... believers are part of the whole body infused by the one God and we must be careful if we think our church is the only one were the minister or pastor preaches and teaches the anointed word.

We have to be careful when we cast spurious or deceitful opinions of anothers walk with God....we cannot go around calling them demon possessed or witches but we have to be careful and test the Spirit the word says...it does not say to condemn a person just because they are not of our church building. We are Baptized by one Spirit into one body not into one building.

Christ places each new Christian or member of the body into the Holy Spirit for His care and safekeeping. The Spirit not only surrounds us He also dwells within us. All believers are Baptized into the body of Christ. (See Romans 6:3)

#3) He dwells in the believer
Romans 8:9
But you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit ...if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you. Now if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ...He is not his.

Through submission to the Spirit
Christians no longer live according to the flesh ..under control of their sinful human nature. Instead with the Spirit living in them and empowering them they can live in a way pleasing to God.

1 Corinthians 6:19
Or do you not know your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you...whom you have from God...and you are not your own.

Here in this passage we are being asked dont you know your body is mine...firstly He created you....and so He has the patent on your life and the manufacturers stamp or mark on you...secondly when you gave him your life you gave Him the authority to move in....but how do you expect Him to reside in a temple that still has a river of alcohol and smoke and maybe even drugs...He wants to stay but if you dont clean up your act He will move on to cleaner premises for He says HE will not always strive with man.

#4) HE seals the believer
Ephesians 1:13 4: 30

In Him you are trusted after you heard the word of truth...the gospel of your salvation in whom also....having believed...you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise.

4 :30
And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God...by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption.

The seal or mark of ownership by God in the believer is the Holy Spirit of God should never be pushed away...rejected...or ignored. If constantly kept focused on who and what was in us...the Holy Spirit of God then we would be watchmen and women of what we read, watch, say, and do. Please note evil thoughts and actions are temptations even for those who are sealed in the Holy Spirit being sealed in the Holy Spirit does not make you immune to temptations and other attacks by Satan it makes us capable of overcoming and defeating Him.

We are over comers....the weakest Christian in prayer is stronger than Satan. If you call Satan the strong one then you are defeating the purpose of Christs death and resurrection....Christ went to hell and took back the keys of death and damnation...Amen....Thank you Jesus.

If you doubt what God revealed to me as is underlined above then read the book of Job.

God cast Satan out of heaven but remains in control even as Satan had to return to God the father and receive permission to test Job in the various ways He did He still had to receive Gods permission.

#5) He Fills the believer:
Acts 2:4

And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other lounges...as the Spirit gave them utterance.

Acts 4:8
Then Peter ....filled with the Holy Spirit

Acts4:31
And when they had prayed...the place where they were assembled togther was shaken...and they were filled with the Holy Spirit.

Acts 7:55
But he..(Stephen) being full of the Holy Spirit ...gazed into heaven and saw the glory of God...and Jesus standing at the right hand of God.

Acts 13: 52
And the disciples were filled with joy and with the Holy Spirit.

Other verses of reference: Luke 1;15,

Through submission to the Spirit Filled with the Holy Spirit
Pletho pneumatos hagiou- The Greek word Pletho is used for describing anything from a sponge to a boat.

Matthew 27:48 When Jesus was on the cross immediately one of them took a sponge filled it with sour wine (vinegar) and put it on a reed...and offered it to Him to drink.

Luke 7, When Jesus called thefour fishermen to be disciples ......"so they called to their partners in the other boatto come and help them. And they came and filled both boats so that they began to sink>" Luke uses this common term to describe how the Holy Spirit influences a person. He uses the expression...(filled with the Holy Spirit) eight times in his writings. In every case ...the filling of the Holy Spirit enables the person so endowed to speak...or preach for God.

And so the filling of the Spirit is directly related to the prophetic ministry...the revelation or explanation of Gods word.

All five of these ministries...regenerates...baptizes ...dwells.....seals..and fills...often occur at the moment of conversion. The fifth ministry...however...should be asked for as many times as needed.

Ephesians 5:18
and do not...be drunk with wine...in which dissipation...but be filled with the Spirit.

Galations 5:16
I say then...walk in the Spirit ...and you shall not fulfill the lusts of the flesh.

If a believer feels his or her walk in the Spirit is weak or not as productive and that maybe they have lost their walk they can regain it the same way they got it the first time.

1 John 1:9
If we confess our sins He is faithful and just to forgive our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

Through Circumstances and Counsel:

While the Christian is to live above his circumstances ....he is not to be unaware of them....God often works through circumstances in revealing his perfect will for us. Certainly the statement Paul makes... "All things work together for good to them that love God...to those who are called to Hiss purpose." Romans 8:28

All things or all problems...trials...tribulations...all circumstances are done According to Gods purpose. He uses them to strengthen our resolve.....to give us backbone so that we might stand strong against the attacks of Satan and if we overcome then these circumstances have worked together for good.....we have become stronger and as our strength in God increases then Satans attacks against us get progressively weaker. God has called us for a purpose to a ministry wether it be just a personal testimony....as an evangelist...known around the world.

The stronger we become against Satan then the stronger our ministry. Circumstance:
God told Abraham to offer his only son Isaac as an offering to Him.

Good:
Genesis 22:13

Then Abraham lifted his eyes and looked...and there behind him was a ram caught in a thicket by its horns. So Abraham went and took the ram....and offered it up as a burnt offering instead of his son.

Circumstance:
God arranged for Pharaohs daughter to be bathing in the river Nile at the exact time the baby Moses floated by in an ark made of bulrushes.

Read Exodus 2:1-10

Most of us know the story of Moses but not all of us know the circumstances leading to why he was hid by his mother in the water along the banks of the Nile river.

Since the Israelite were multiplying so Quickly the Egyptians were getting worried that the Israelite might rebel against them and win by sheer number. They ran crying to Pharaoh who passed a law the every male child was to be killed at birth and every female be let live. So Moses mother delivered him and hid him and his sister Miriam watched over him.

This sister of Moses must have been one sharp ....all together little lady.

When Moses little ark was caught by Pharaohs daughters the good handmaiden and brought to Pharaohs daughter...Moses sister didnt panic she just asked her if she wanted a Hebrew woman to nurse the baby and look after it for her. So Moses sister went and got her mom who was blessed in that her son would live and she would be provide for in provisions of food and other necessities and be paid to look after and raise her own son.

Moses must have been happy that the Pharohs daughter had her motherly instincts awakened when she saw him.

Pauls Young nephew happened to hear of a plot to kill his famous uncle. He then reported it to the authorities and by doing so saved Pauls life. Read Acts 23:12-22 Circumstance: The Jews took an oath to kill Paul and conspired with the chief priests and elders of the synagogue to have Paul brought to them for more questioning and the forty Jewish conspirators would be lying in wait to take him by force from the soldiers.

The good: Pauls sisters son heard of the plot went to Paul in prison and Paul sent him to the commander of the guard and so he with his men saved Pauls life because of knowing the plan ahead of its taking place.

Through circumstances and counsel:

Surely the circumstances we just read about were set up Providentially God conceived as the power sustaining and guiding human destiny (Webster 9th New collegiate dictionary)So the Christian should ask when attempting to discover Gods will. Is the Lord showing me something through my circumstances?

Counselors: Also play an important role in finding Gods will.

Proverbs 24:16>
In multitude of counselors there is safety.

However three things must be kept in mind at this point:
-Counsel must come from a Godly source

Proverbs 25:19
Confidence in an unfaithful man in time of trouble is like a broken tooth and a foot out of joint.

An unfaithful man annoying and undependable....cannot be trusted in anything not even for sound advice.

Sometimes even the godliest person can unknowingly give us wrong advice.

Nathan the prophet did this when he encouraged David to build the temple.

2 Samuel 7:1-13 (Read it from the Bible)
But God came unto Nathan and told him that when he leads the Israelites to where he wants them to be then he will build a temple but until then the ark of the covenant had also traveled with the Israelite in a tent and wished to remain there.

He did promise David one thing in cancellation he said:
Verses 12,13
When your days are fulfilled and you rest with your fathers I will set up your seed after you...who will come from your body..and I will establish His kingdom. He shall build a house for my name....and I will establish the throne of His kingdom forever. When you are and buried with your fathers...I will arrange with your son (Solomon) and establish His kingdom and he will build me a house (temple)

To this day we refer to a church building as the house of the Lord and God also said that he would establish the throne of his (Solomons) kingdom and bless his descendants with a male heir to rule.

1 Coronicles 22:6-10
In the final study....each person is responsible for knowing Gods revealed purpose for his/her own life.
