Awakening of the warrior: First year of Ryan's Life.
Thirteen years sealed up in a large tube in the hidden levels of an abandoned laboratory was long, but the warrior hadn't cared. The scientist's pinnicle wasn't damaged, nor aged at all; for he was floating in a substance that would suspend his animation. All that would be required was an electrical discharge into the fluid to reanimate the warrior.
During the previous years, salvagers had stripped all of the valuable materials from the laboratory that they could get their grubby little hands on. It took the courage of a ninja to locate the boy, whom had heard that scientists had one final creation that would make a begger into an infinately powerful being. The room had been a mess from the attack on the laboratory thirteen years ago. All facts on what had really happened became distorted into tales that the local bards often told for a drink or two. It didn't take the ninja long to locate that pill shaped piece of glass that held the boy. The ninja intentionally pressed the large red button beside the warrior's "coffin." In an instant the glass shattered from the massive electrical current inside of the tube, sending the now breathing boy to the floor. It'd been thirteen years since his completion and he was cold from the start. Teeth chattering he wrapped himself up inside a blanket; gazing up with blurry eyes towards the one that had set him free. The boy called him master from the start, for that was one of the built in features of the race. Their minds were set like a robot's somewhat, for the first being they laid eyes upon they called them master. The ninja shook his head and explained to the warrior, who appeared to be the age of seventeen that he was not a master. In a few short hours time the ninja taught the "newborn" everything he knew. He was even so kind as to name the boy "Ryan". With a final goodbye he departed, leaving the warrior alone in the darkness.
The first month of Ryan's life went by in a heartbeat. In that short time he had located and rebuilt the armor that was meant for him. The warrior knew of nothing but the basics; a few words, fighting techniques and what not to eat in the forest. He had went to the city once to explore, but a powerful vampire noticed the warrior was new and weak. After cornering the boy in an alley he drank most of his blood, taking him to his palace deep in the forest. After three days of recovery he managed an escape. From that day on he hated vampires almost as much as the human race.
An anthro fox poked her way into the laboratory one day and the young warrior immediately took a friendship status with her. Unlike many previous Bions he could control his aggression, but he had multiple weaknesses still. Unlike the world around them, she knew exactly what Ryan was. The moment Ryan turned his back upon his first friend she aimed a laser pistol at his back, draining the entire battery into his mid-section. The boy felt true emotional pain for the first time as he fell, his legs giving out from underneath him. Face down he lied, soaking a large area of the sandy floor with his glowing neon blue blood. Overconfident she left him to die like the animal he was. A man in the forest had heard the shots, rushing over towards the boy whom managed to utter out the location of where he could be patched up. The scientists were quite intelligent, having advanced much of their technology beyond that of the human's current level. That man's name was John Leibling, the one who helped the boy into his restoration chamber, which looked exactly like the one that preserved the boy for so many years. After three hours of soaking in the ice blue tinted liquid, he climbed out good as new. Though the scars were easy to extinguish, Ryan opposed to it for he wanted a constant reminder never to trust others. John was another story however for Ryan knew he could have been killed at the man's leisure. John and Ryan teamed up and searched for the Anthro that hadn't moved very far by the time they caught up with her. Before she could speak a word Ryan, who was clad in his black armor tore her throat out, leaving the anthro to scream in silence.
Months passed, and the bond between the human and the bion grew. Something happened one day however that changed their relationship as friends forever. John overheard one of the bard's tales in a tavern and the human emotion of greed set in. The next month John planned and constructed many robotic beings that could keep the boy under control. Then one day he got Ryan rather drunk, so drunk that he couldn't even walk straight, let alone fight. A metal collar was slammed around his neck and he was reduced to the status of a slave. However, days later the young warrior rebeled, easily defeating the army that had taken John an entire month to create. Furious with his slave's actions, he challenged Ryan to one final battle, which he accepted.
It was in John's airship that the final battle waged forth. John was a human but he was quite skilled in the arts of magic where as Ryan was weak against such things. John took the upper hand in the battle quickly, but underestimated the boy's will to live on and be free. Blow after blow was exchanged, and soon both warriors were bleeding and hardly able to continue onwards. After John taunted him about how Ryan was going to lose and be put in place the boy must have snapped; for moments later he charged him, putting his entire force into one punch that tore through his ribcage and out the other side of him. The boy was naturally clad in his protective black armor, which also gave him a large advantage in strength and speed. The armor repaired the boy as he walked back towards his own home, for it contained a built in medical unit to heal wounds that weren't fatal.
The months passed by and Ryan earned the title "Black Demon of the Forest." Many that passed near the laboratory didn't make it out of the forest, for he was mistrusting of all; Anthros, humans, especially females. Ryan normally ate those he destroyed, for he believed that it was honorable to do so, and a waste of food to do otherwise.
A male clad in white armor stepped into the laboratory one day. Ryan was quick to pounce down onto the warrior to deliver a quick victory. However today Ryan would learn a valuable lesson: Never underestimate an enemy. Before Ryan reached the other he had already taken aim with his massive plasma cannon, snapping off a large bolt of pure energy at the boy. He had time to dodge but he was in midair and was unable to dodge. Ryan took the bolt square in the head, snapping back and falling upon his back where he felt he would die there. The armor coating his head shattered, spraying the area with chunks of liquid hot metal. Somehow a few pieces of the roof caved in, landing over the boy. It was as if he were already in his grave. The pain was quite intense, as some of the armor had bonded with his skin. The armored one left the boy for dead like previous enemies had done so.
Hours passed and the moon quickly dominated the sun during the change to night. Ryan had lost quite a bit of blood and was fading fast, but as he thought about what he'd gone through he fought back against death. The boy didn't want to die and he managed to hang on until help arrived. It was amazing that whenever he was going to die, someone often saved him to bring him back from the verge of death. A young man Ryan's age came to the rescue, exploring the land for other survivors of his kind. With enhanced senses and Borg implants he easily located the boy, nursing him back to health in his own ship. Weeks passed and the Borg known as nine of sixty-one. The young injured warrior was experimented on no doubt, for species classification and to settle his own interest in the boy. The facial structure of the boy was completely repaired. However, the boy's left eye was burnt a shade of black and had to be removed. The Borg known as Brandon Nyte was kind to the boy, implanting a cybernetic one that looked exactly like his other eye. It would be impossible to tell what it was, even to the touch. This way, the secret would be between the two of them alone.
