Scooter Tips and Tricks
Bunny Hop over a Skateboard

Big Air

This trick is really just to show off to your friends. It is actually pretty easy if you can Bunny Hop well. There are 3 different ways to do this. I will tell you the difference.

1.) Set up the skateboard on a flat surface like your driveway or the street you live on. The way you set it up changes the difficulty. There are 3 ways to set the skateboard up. The easiest is to put the skateboard with the top of the board facing the ground. Another way is to have the top facing up. The hardest is to put the skateboard on its side. This makes it taller and you have to be able to Bunny Hop high while moving.

2.) Head towards the skateboard at a descent speed but not so fast that you can't control what happens when you land. Get ready to Bunny Hop about 3-5 feet before the board.

3.) Bunny Hop as high as you can and at the right time. If you Bunny Hop to early, you can land on the edge of the board and cause the scooter to get stuck and you to go flying. If you Bunny Hop to late then you clip the front of the board and have the same result. If you have the board in the hardest position, then you should just worry about doing a high Bunny Hop.

4.)Try to land without leaning forward or backward or you could really hurt yourself. This part can be hard if you are going really fast because it's harder to keep control. Trust me, I know. Just ask my friend at his website.

You just jumped over a skateboard with ease. Now you can go to the intermediate tricks. Don't you feel special. But as with all the others, this trick becomes harder with bigger gaps. I will remind you that I have done all the tricks I describe.
