Confusion.

'I'm not jealous aren't I?' Usagi kept repeating that question in her mind that same night, searching herself for an answer. But she didn't get the answer she wanted, because sleep took over her.


Usagi woke up late as usual the following day. She was fixing her hair while she ran down the street, bobby pins sticking out of her mouth as she fixed her hair using both hands, and successfully finished that task. She was going to be late for school...and she didn't notice that Mamoru was right in front of her. Of course, she bumped into him. Again. "Gomen nasai!" Usagi excalimed. "Well, well it's you again! Good Morning Odango Atama!" Mamoru greeted. Usagi clenched her fists and said, "You BAKA! Stop calling me that! Even Rei-chan is teasing me! And my name is Usagi! Do I have to spell it to you again huh? U-S-A-G-I!". "Yeah I know to spell ya know. O-D-A-N-G-O! Spelled that right ha!" Mamoru countered. 'This scene is so familiar' Usagi thought to herself. "Get lost you BAKA! Oh no! I'm late!" Usagi retorted and ran away. Mamoru chuckled and added, "She's so cute when she's mad." he looked at his watch and quickly ran in the direction of his university. Because he too, was late for school.


That night, Mamoru asked Rei for another date. They went out for dinner because Mamoru wanted to ask something. About a certain cheery blonde-haired fairy that plagued his mind for the past few days. But he couldn't say the right words to Rei, because he knew that the girl sitting across him has a huge crush on him...and he's desperate for her help. "Um Rei?" Mamoru started. "Yes Mamoru?" Rei answered, starry-eyed. "Uh I dunno how to say this but...I think what I'm going to say to you might hurt your feelings-" Mamoru was cut short when Rei simply told him "It's okay Mamoru. I already know it." Mamoru was shocked. And then he held his hand and asked "Friends?" Rei looked at his hand and shook it "Friends" she replied. They chatted the whole night, and then Mamoru told her about Usagi. Rei listened to Mamoru and she knew he needed her help. So she leaned towards Mamoru's ear and whispered "I have a plan...". And a week after that, they started to use their plan.


Usagi walked inside the automatic doors of the Crown Arcade. She and the other girls, Ami, Makoto, Minako and Rei, are going to meet there for their shopping trip. The first thing Usagi noticed was Rei and Mamoru...TOGETHER. Usagi felt uncomfortable...again. 'Okay. I AM jealous' Usagi now admitted to herself. She hoped that either Mamoru or Rei didn't notice her arrival. Usagi let herself seated at the back booth of the arcade so that no one can see her. But unfortunately, Rei saw Usagi sneak into the back booth. Rei gave Mamoru a wink and mouthed 'I'll take care of this' and she walked to Usagi's table.


"Konnichiwa Usagi-chan!" Rei greeted. 'Great! Just great she found me!' Usagi thought to herself. "Uh hi Rei-chan" Usagi simply returned the gesture. "I'm so sorry I didn't notice you come in. Mamoru is such a great guy...remember we had a date last week?" Rei asked Usagi. "Yeah I remember that...you already told us that about almost five times!" Usagi answered with a hint of jealousy in her voice. 'She's jealous I knew it!' Rei thought with a smug smile. 'And I'm going to be the cupid for these lovesick fools!' Rei added to herself.


The following day, Rei announced to the girls that they are going to have another study session later in the afternoon but Usagi excused herself from their study because she didn't want to hear Rei babble again so she told them she wasn't feeling okay. In the temple that afternoon, Ami, Makoto and Minako listened to Rei talk about Mamoru and Usagi. They were shocked when they learned that Mamoru and Rei aren't a couple. "This is really getting interesting" Minako said to the group. And all of them agreed to help Rei in her plan. 


Mamoru's cellphone rang. It was Rei. She told him that Usagi isn't with them and told him good luck. Mamoru prantically searched everywhere, lucky he found the golden-haired maiden in the park, leaning against a Sakura tree. Mamoru walked in Usagi's direction, and he was now going to tell her his feelings towards her. When he was three feet away from her, he could hear heart-wrenching sobs from Usagi. 'I'm here Usako, please don't cry' Mamoru said to himself, using his pet name for Usagi. When he reached his destination he kneeled in front of Usagi and took her in his arms in a warm embrace. 


Usagi was surprised that someone was embracing her. She was very still, Mamoru noted. She didn't know who was embracing her until she heared his voice, "I'm here Usako, please don't cry". Usagi looked up and saw the face of Chiba Mamoru. Then Usagi removed herself from his hold and with a confused look she said, "What are you doing here? And what did you just call me?"


Love.

"I'm here because I care for you and I...I love you. And I called you Usako, my little bunny." Mamoru said in a hushed voice. "I thought- I thought you and Rei are a couple- and you guys were going out!" Usagi said with confusion in her voice. Mamoru chuckled and said, "Rei is just a friend. We were going out because I needed her advice. And because she's your friend. Plus, she planned all this" "Really??" Usagi asked. "Really" he simply answered. Mamoru held Usagi once more in a tight embrace and tears of happiness fell down Usagi's cheeks. He lowered his head and met her lips in the softest of kisses, and all the pent up passion is poured in that kiss. They only parted for the need to breathe and looked into each other's eyes. Usagi can see Mamoru's emotions through his eyes. "Aishiteru Usako, koishii" he said huskily. "Aishiteru Mamo-chan" Usagi said in a voice full of love. Mamoru leaned again for another passionate kiss.


Meanwhile, Ami, Rei, Makoto and Minako sighed behind the bushes as they watched the couple share a kiss.
