"Hello Serenity." She said. "uh- Hi." Said Serenity shakily, sitting on a chair next to the bed. "My name is Luna, advisor to Queen Serenity." "Can I do something for you, Luna?" asked Serenity politely, still getting over the shock of being kissed by Endymion and finding a strange woman sitting on her bed. Luna smiled brightly, the type of smile a teacher would a student. "Queen Serenity has requested a private audience with you." "Me?" asked Serenity in shock. "Yes. You. And so you need to get ready." Said Luna, very business like. Opening her cupboard, Luna sifted through the dresses, discarding them as easily as one would when choosing flowers. Finally, she drew out a rose colored dress, the bodice embroidered with the flower. She also pulled out a corset, and helped Serenity into it. "I gather you haven't worn very many of these before." Said Luna, as she pulled the strings. "No -*gasp*- I -*gasp*- haven't -*gasp*-" she replied breathlessly. Half and hour later, Serenity was again dressed as a lady, but this time she was even more nervous. "Don't worry." Luna assured. "Just be yourself." "Okay." Said Serenity worriedly. Luna walked Serenity to the door and gave her a quick hug before ushering her inside. Serenity stumbled to find herself in a small chamber, only a couple of chairs, a table and a bench with flowers to adorn it. A balcony overlooking the palace gardens was situated on one side of the room, and out there a woman sat with her eyes closed, looking very peaceful, a small smile on her lips. "Queen Serenity?" said Serenity quietly, as she made her way to the balcony. The woman opened one eye. A slow smile spread across her face as she sat up and opened the other eye. Serenity knew at once that this was the queen. Queen Serenity carried about her an air of power and peace. "Serenity." She said warmly. "How strange we share the same name. Do sit down." Serenity sat down and clasped her hands nervously in her lap. "Yes, your majesty." Queen Serenity just smiled. "How is your life at the palace?" she asked. Serenity hesitated momentarily, but then found herself launching into her whole life story. Soon, they were both chatting freely, as if they had known each other for years. Serenity found the Queen an easy person to talk to, although she had heard otherwise. Queen Serenity beamed at Serenity the whole time. "Do you ever wonder who your parents were?" she asked suddenly. "I...guess so." Replied Serenity awkwardly. "Then I guess we have something in common." The queens eyes grew distant. "I lost a daughter. But now, I have every hope of finding her." Serenity looked around. "I should go." She said, getting up. "It was lovely to meet you, your majesty. I certainly hope you find your daughter." She curtsied, or tried to, and left quietly. Queen Serenity smiled and snapped her fingers. Almost immediately, a man appeared behind her. "Artemis." She said "Yes, my queen?" "Inform the Senshi and the Generals. We've found her." * * * Artemis, the Moon Queens advisor, was quick to find Luna. "It's her." He said. Luna's eyes widened. "I knew it!" she cried happily. "We must find the Senshi!" "The queen has also requested that we find and inform the princes generals." "And the prince?" inquired Luna. "I think it would be best if we told him later." Said Artemis after a moment. "He has no reason to know, it would only complicate things." Luna nodded. "Does the girl know?" "No," said Artemis, shaking his head. "We'll leave that up to the Senshi." "Alright." Said Luna, turning into business mode. "Lets get them." It took little time to find the four generals. They were training outside. It did however, take a bit longer to locate the Senshi. It was Luna who finally found them. A giggling bush was the give away. Raising an eye-brow, Luna walked over to the bush in question and peered between the leaves. She coughed loudly. Mina, Raye, Lita and Amy jumped. Turning around slowly, they looked into the irritated and amused face of the Queens advisor. "Hello girls." She said, tapping afoot on the ground. 'What's going on here? It's highly unusual for princesses to be found in bushes. Especially facing the generals training are. Highly suspicious." She arched an eyebrow. Mina sighed. "Okay, you caught us." She said, standing up in defeat. "But you have to admit, those generals are hot, and it were Artemis out there with his shirt off..." Luna flushed. "Girls, this is not the time. We've found the princess." Gaping in astonishment, the four girls climbed out of the bush, and followed Luna into the castle, bombarding her with questions about the identity of their missing princess. Finally, much to the relief of Luna, they reached the door to the meeting room. Opening the door, the girls sat down with the generals who were already there (with their shirts on.) Raising a hand to stem the flow of questions, Luna stood. "Yes," she began. "We have found the princess. However, before we reveal her identity, we would like to inform you of your new responsibilities towards her." Luna began to list off the main responsibilities of the Senshi, but they appeared to be pre-occupied. Stealing glances at the generals, the Senshi were hardly listening to their 'increased protection of the moon princess.' "Just cut to the chase, Luna." Interrupted Raye. "Who is this girl we're supposed to protect?" "Serenity." She said simply. There was a stunned silence. Jadeite, as usual, was the first to find his voice. "Not Serenity, affectionately known as the fifth general?" he asked incredulously. "The very same." Agreed Luna. "She had a private audience with the Queen this afternoon. She knew at once." "Well, it does make sense," said Amy thoughtfully. "I mean, they both have the same name, and the resemblance to Queen Serenity is extraordinary." "There is one other thing." Said Luna awkwardly. "What?" asked eight eager voices simultaneously. "When the princess was born, relationships between the Earth and the Moon were not the best. Before Serenity was kidnapped, she was betrothed to-" "Prince Endymion!" Exclaimed Mina. Kunzite gave her a questioning look. "Senshi of Love?" she said, as if it were perfectly obvious. Kunzite sighed in realization. "When Serenity is told of her ah- elevation, she will begin training with the Senshi." Jadeite snorted. "As if she needs it." He said. "I beg your pardon?" asked Luna, brow creased. "Serenity can beat Prince Endymion in any duel, she can punch up a grown man, and she knows three different ways to skin and gut a rabbit. In addition to her warrior-like skills, Queen Gaia has instructed her in the arts of a Lady, and that of a Princess. Serenity knows how to behave at any occasion, how to create treaty's, how to find out if someone is lying without actually asking. She knows a lot more than you seem to be giving her credit for." "Serenity obviously doesn't need any further training in those areas," explained Luna, "But she will need to use her mothers Silver Crystal, and by training, I do not only mean the physical side, but also to help her gain control of her powers." "And I know we won't have any trouble with Endymion. They are destined." Said Mina romantically. "That is if they don't kill each other first." Pointed out Nephrite. "Excuse me?" asked Luna again. Her and Artemis seemed be missing out on large chunks of the conversation. "Serenity and Endymion are not -shall we say- on the best of terms right now." Said Zoicite carefully. "Endymion seems to get some enormous kick out of teasing Serenity until she's at the end of her tether. It's been going on since they were kids." Mina looked at the four generals. It must be a guy thing, she decided. "Don't you see?" she asked, exasperated at their apparent lack of knowledge. "Endymion only teases Serenity to get her attention." "What?" asked Jadeite, looking utterly stumped. Mina rolled her eyes dramatically. "If a young boy pulls a girls hair, what is he trying to tell her?" The generals just looked at her, confused. "That he likes her!" she yelled, extremely frustrated. "It's the same with Endymion and Serena. Anyone with eyes- " she paused, "Well, perhaps not," she looked at the four Generals, slow realization dawning on them. 'Anyway, it's obvious that they're attracted to each other if that kiss was anything to go by." "Right." Said Luna. "Well, now that you know, you must protect Serenity at all costs. You will tell her as soon as possible, but until then, we can't afford to relax security. The princesses identity will be revealed at the ball tomorrow night, and also the engagement. Queen Gaia and Queen Serenity have already agreed to the marriage. At long last out princess has been recovered an the houses of the Earth and Moon will finally be joined!" * * * @}--->------ E-mail is appreciated!
