Conversational Hearts by Eternal Angel A fic challenge by Sailor Elysia A bittersweet memory Of someone so beautiful Makes me want to cry Beautiful brazen cherry blossoms had slowly peered out from the trees as springs neared, beckoning a strange feeling within him. Only to find himself empty once again as the short- lived feeling passed. Today was the sacred day of lovers and family, the days when the blossoming of true love over shined the beauty of the beautiful blossoms. He sighed, as he sat in his booth, a large box of candy hearts in his hands. He forgot who had given it to him, only that it was given to a mass amount of people at the same time. He shrugged, not wanting to feel the banging sensation at the fact that he was not special enough to be thought of when the gift bearer bought the candy … but what did he expect? He wasn't someone that people sought out for … The soft chiming of the bells touched his ears as he watched the blonde come in, her beautiful blue eyes looking, searching … Twin dumplings on her head as she smiled cheerfully. He found himself warm at the sight of the beautiful blonde. He slowly took a candied heart out of the box, as he read the message. BE TRUE He frowned at the message, as he couldn't help but wonder, be true to what? The thought continued to haunt him as he plopped the bland tasting candy into his mouth, slowly chewing it, his eyes staring at the beautiful figure once again. MORE He frowned at the next message, confused at the painted white letters on the pinkish heart. He sighed, a bang of longing within him arising as his mind drifted again, back to her. She was always loved, was she not? He could be that on this day she would receive dozens of gifts, roses, pure and beautiful as her with chocolate that was as sweet as her… CALL ME …call me what? Lonely? Lonesome? He found himself slowly becoming consumed with self-pity for himself only to turn it into disgust. Only weak people pitied themselves … But he couldn't help but admit to himself that he was weak. His head begun to spin as he couldn't help but wonder how these candy hearts seemed to be able to captivate him as they said lonesome words that struck the very core. He glanced at her again, as she sat down, chattering with everyone easily. She turned around, her gaze meeting his own as she let out a smile. UR KIND He could feel the beating of his own heart increase as he found himself in a staring match, finding the blueness of her eyes so vividly beautiful and captivating. He couldn't help but find a part of him that he was always missing within her, deeply woven into the very core of her, waiting to be freed. He took a deep breath, wanting, waiting, for something, anything … But instead she turned around, laughing at a comment made by one of her friends. I'M SURE But he wasn't, he wasn't at all. Uncertainty groped him as he couldn't help but find her fathom blue eyes haunt him, taunting him as his heart continued to ache as he wished with all his might for something he knew would never come true … BE MINE A single wish he sought to be granted. MY LOVE Constant wanting, wishing … A single hope that maybe, just maybe one day the wish would come true … FOREVER But the only thing his mind could do is laugh and retort how it would be never ever. Longing, hoping, a companion he had found so dear to him during these times, trying to consoling him, to comforting him … …but how do you comfort a person who doesn't want to be comforted? YOU AND ME A future that will never exist. MARRY ME A dream that will never be fulfilled. SWEETHEART Love naught but the simple dream… "Miss?" A voice called from behind her, as she turned around, her shimmering blonde hair whipping the air as she stared at the waitress. She grinned at her. "Yes?" The waitress smiled back as she handed her a napkin? She raised her eyebrow as the waitress shrugged. "A man in the back booth wanted me to give you this." After thanking the lady, she opened up the napkin, as a small candy heart tumbled out of it. The message on the heart screamed within her mind as she turned around, searching for the figure that was already so far gone … I LOVE YOU. Lost on my lips Is a single plea of love Never spoken Always thought Usako9@hotmail.com
