Before you continue on, I must tell you something! Highschool is very time consuming! lol. So umm, I'm sorry, but please do not expect TITANS to be coming out very soon. I have the first chapter of book two done, but I usually wait until I've done another chapter until I continue on, just something I do to make sure I really want to do it this way(ya know?). So again, I'm sorry, but I am REALLY REALLY busy! With tennis after school till 6 everyday, and homework! UGH! So don't expect TITANS for another week or so, I promise I will have it out in two weeks! PROMISE! And since I can't really think hard on a story, I'm writing some little ones to keep you occupied. So I hope you enjoy this little songfic! Thanks, and be patient! * * * That's What I Really Meant to Say * * * It took me by surprise When I saw you standing there Close enough to touch Breathing the same air You asked me how I'd been I guess that's when I smiled and said just fine Oh but baby I was lying * * * Serena kept her gaze down as she walked through the Arcade doors. She clutched her book bag close to her chest. She didn't want to be here, but her friends insisted that she should. She'd been locked up in her house ever since... ever since he- She couldn't even finish the sentence. Suddenly she bumped into someone, causing her to drop her Book bag. "Sor-" She looked up, finding the one person she had been avoiding for the past week. Darien stared down at her, fighting back his own emotions. She looked so frail, like she was going to fall apart. 'And it's all my fault.' Darien thought. He bent down, never taking his gaze off of Serena and picked up her bag. He held it out to her wordlessly. She smiled feebly, taking the bag back. "How are you Serena?" Darien asked suddenly, finding nothing better to say. Serena looked at him shocked, sniffing back a tear or two. He had to be playing with her! 'Well,' She thought. 'I'm not going to give him the benefit of the doubt anymore.' "I'm fine." Serena said, building her words with a steel edge. Darien looked surprised at her sudden change. "Really." Serena added for emphasis. "Well, that's go-" "If you don't mind, I have to meet my friends." Serena cut him off, and brushed past him to the table her friends were seated at. She sat down in the booth opposite of Darien, so he couldn't see her break down. "Serena, what's wrong?" Rei asked. Serena cried quietly, covering her eyes with her hands. If only he knew what she really felt. * * * What I really meant to say Is I'm dying here inside I miss you more each day There's not a night I haven't cried And baby here's the truth I'm still in love with you That's what I really meant to say * * * And as you walked away The echo of my words Cut just like a knife Cut so deep it hurt I held back the tears Held on to my pride and watched you go I wonder if you'll ever know... * * * Darien watched her retreating back, and bowed his head when she disappeared into the booth. How could he possibly keep this up? It hurt so bad every time he lied right to her face. 'I don't love you.' His cruel words echoed through his head. Of course he loved her! Who could not? But there was nothing he could do right now. He wished he could just tell her how he really felt. * * * What I really meant to say Is I'm dying here inside I miss you more each day There's not a night I haven't cried And baby here's the truth I'm still in love with you That's what I really meant to say * * * What I really meant to say Is I'm really not that strong No matter how I try I'm still holding on... * * * Serena rested her arms on the rail of the lake. Her long hair blew in the wind, and she wrestled with her bangs to stay out of her glistening blue eyes. She was committed to not let the tears fall, trying to get herself to move on. But it was so hard, hard to let every thing they shared just slip away like her tears. "Oh Darien, why are you doing this to me? Can't you see I'm nothing without you?" Serena sighed, crossing her arms on the railing and resting her head on them. Suddenly there was a noise behind her, and she briskly turned around. Darien stood there, watching her. She gasped, seeing his intense gaze locked on her eyes. But they weren't hard or cold like they'd been since he broke up with her. They were warm, soft and she thought she saw the slightest sign of a tear in the corner of his eye. "What do you want Darien?" She cried hoarsely, wiping away betraying tear. "It's over isn't it? Isn't that what you said!?" He mouthed something, but she was unable to hear it. And then a second later, he was gone. Serena looked around, but was unable to find him. She sighed, and closed her eyes. The wind picked up, and his unspoken words slowly drifted to her ears and to her heart. * * * And here's the honest truth I'm still in love with you.... That's what I really meant to say * * * Alright, I needed to get that out. I just love, love, love that song, it's so beautiful! It's by Cyndi Thomson, and it's called "What I really meant to say." And I've changed my email(and for the people at Silver, here it is! I realize I kinda forgot to put it in my stories!) So it's avanlamireille@hotmail.com...fitting huh? hehe. Remember, be patient! ^_^' God Bless, @-> Avanla Mireille P.S. I don't own Sailor Moon, or the song, k? Almost forgot.
