| These w a l l s; you couldn't possibly understand. Such tendrils of thought trickle through me, and consider first the room, then the window. Suddenly in the distance I discover new lights. Toward them I ran. I ran and ran and ran, all the while keeping track of the time and the dark desert road that lay ahead. I ran only to find a city where I could never be. and lo! what's this? These sad skyscrapers move! They bend and crouch and fold and force themselves to find new shapes not yet known to man. Facinated, I glance again at my wristwatch, calculating. There isn't enough time. There never is. and for them I wept. |
