Aim: What does Act I tell us about the main characters, the conflicts, the
mood and setting?
a. Make a list of key words that describe the stage setting, then draw the
setting .On the other side of the drawing, list all the characters' names and
their relationships among one other. Use this as your bookmark as you
continue reading the play.
b. Describe Mr. Keller. Draw a portrait of him using the key descriptive words
as captions of your drawing.
The apple tree in Keller's yard was broken down by the wind. Mr. Keller
associate the apple tree with his son Larry because the apple tree was Larry
Tree. Larry was sent to war, and is reported missing.
Frank Said that Larry might still be alive because Larry Favorites day
November 25 is coming up and that might mean he is still alive.
Jim and Sue are married.
Jim: My love, my light.
Sue: Don't sniff around me.
Chris is Mr. and Ms. Keller other son. He is a man of affection and loyalty.
He 32 years old.
Mr. Keller Play with the little boy Bert, By making Bert believe that
there is a jail in the basement, and that he got a gun. Told Bert to catch bad
guys.
The conflict between Chris and Mr. Keller is that they don't want to tell Ms.
Keller's that her son Larry is not alive, that their is no hope that he will
still be alive. And Chris want to marry Ann and Mr. Keller disagree but then he
help him out or else he will leave the house.
Kate Keller is in her early fifties, a women of uncontrolled inspirations, and an overwhelming capacity for love and a very caring women. Kate is Mr. Keller wife, she is the mother of Chris and Larry.
Ann was Larry fiancé, Ann is Twenty six, gentle but despite herself capable of holding fast to what she knows. The relationship between Ann and the Keller's family is that Ann was there next door neighbors and Larry Wife to be. Chris invited Ann over.
