The M.V Gallini was the first ship that I went on a S.G.M in 1983. Three of us joined her in the French port of Dunkirk to carry out repairs on her inert gas lines. The ship had a Greek crew who we get on well with. We sailed with her down to the Island of Malta.

The Welsh Princess was a private charter yacht that we worked on in Battleship Cove in Fall River, Massachusetts,U.S.A. She had sailed across the Atlanic from the UK and had met with heavy seas and had limped in Newport, Rhode Island and was in a poor state when we joined her. We spent several weeks getting her back into shape. The US battleship "Massachusetts" was berthed next to us, she is now a floating museum.

The Stena Seatrader was docked in a former US Navy floating dock in the Bender Ship repair yard in Mobile. The Dock had been in use for over 30 years at New Orleans before being moored at the Bender yard on the mobile River. We spent several weeks at the yard doing a Main Engine survey on the Stena Seatrader which was a Ro-Ro container ship.
