My Beliefs |

I also honor six elements. Unlike traditional western magick, I modified the five chinese elements of Water (North), Fire (S), Wood (E), Metal (W), and Earth (Center) to add Sky (Above). Six elements appeals to my sense of symmetry and of logic; six elements to equal six directions. Since the chinese elements can be explained by books, I'll only expand briefly on Sky. It is the element of mystery, hope and the future. It takes on some of the characteristics of the western Air element, and is the element of language, communication and song. Where Earth is grounded and logical, Sky is emphereal and imaginative. |

Taoism |
I've been a taoist (western, not traditional), off and on, since about 1992, when I read a great book (I can't remember the name, and lent the book out in '93) that combined mathematics, tao and christianity. I would have fun with the minds of christians by saying I was a taoist christian, sort of like being a babtist or something. Eventually of course, the christian part became untruthful, and I gave it up. |

I've always considered taoism to be more than a philosophy. It's been a religion to me because it's ability to grasp the Universe as One is identical to my views of the Goddess and the God. Taoism is a mystical path, one that requires contemplation and a desire to learn. As a good introduction, I recommend reading 'The Leadership of Tao'. |

My interests |

Where to begin... well, I enjoy collecting and using tarot cards. My collection is small still, I have Sacred Circle, Russian and a Robin Wood deck (I can't recall the name). I found Wicce's Tarot Collection a good site. |

Due to the birth of my daughter, I've gained an interest in pagan parenting. I belong to the email list [email protected], which has good discussions, and I own a copy of Circle Round. Most other pagan parenting books seem to be oriented towards Wicca, which doesn't work for me. |
