Peragon Enterprises Inc. - Peragon Truck Bed Cover - Product Review

Heath Copp, President of Peragon Enterprises, has rebutted the measurements we took of his cover. Here are some other pictures of the cover folded at the front of the truck.

In this picture the end of the tape is up against the front of the truck bed (the tape was upside down). The black line to the right of the picture is the edge of the cover.

Here is a picture from a little farther away. Again the end of the tape is up against the front of the truck bed. Clearly the cover is taking up 10.5 inches, not the 6” that the company claims. You can also see the support track the cover rides in (it’s the gold metal part).

This picture is fuzzy, but you can see that the edge of the cover is 10.5 inches from the front of the truck bed. My knee is up against the cover, holding it to the front of the truck bed. The silver bar near the shoe is the cross bar that keeps the tracks spaced correctly.

In a couple of truck forums Heath Copp wrote: "Our return policy allows for the return of products less a restocking fee and the customer is responsible for the shipping costs."

If that were true we would have sent it back that way. The truth is once you cut the plastic band off the cover it's "used" according to Heath, and he will not allow "used" covers to be returned. The only way you could send one back is if you don't unpack it when you get it. Of course if you don’t unpack it you’ll never know if it’s going to work on your truck or not. Read Peragons return policy.

Heath Copp has also claimed that we faked this installation in order to take business away from him. Not true, This cover was installed on our truck in accordance with the instructions provided with the cover. It cost us a lot of time and money to find out that the Peragon Cover is not as advertised and we just want to save others the expense of our experience. And this is not just our opinion either, we had a local automotive professional look at the installation and they concured that what we discovered after installing the cover is true.

This is a picture of a rubber maid tub placed 27 inches back from the front of the truck bed. The cover still hits the tub before it can close.

In this picture the tool box has slid to the front, up against the cross bar, and blocked the top from opening. The fifth wheel hitch in this truck leaves very little room to craw to the front and pull the tool box back.
