With more than 3000 comic book-pages in his back,
Freddy Milton is probably the foremost and most productive
comic book-artist in Scandinavia. After 23 years and almost half
his life in the line, the doyen among Danish comic book-
creators deserves a site on the web. There are for the moment three articles available here. "Woody Woodpecker's Finest Hour" was written by Dwight Decker in the early eighties, and published in "Comics Journal" #63. The "Freddy Milton Interview" was conducted by Geoffrey Blum and Kim Thompson through the mail. It was originally published in "Amazing Heroes" #129. The third piece was written by Daan Jippes and Fred himself for Gladstone's Carl Barks Library-series. It's about the eighteen Carl Barks-inspired stories Daan and Freddy did together in the late seventies/early eighties, and was published in album #30 of the CBL of WDC&S in Color. A short piece on Freddy's life will come later. |
