To see them I may take bus 150 from Bournemouth to Swanage (see map) ((Handfast Point, or The Foreland is where the chalk cliffs of The Needles of the Isle of Wight once extended to the mainland. Millions of years ago the sea broke through the cliffs and formed the Solent and Isle of Wight we see today.
