	The site gave facts from an encyclopedia. I used the information obtained on the 	introduction of my website. The site gave facts from an encyclopedia about the 		cause, and effect of World War I and was used to gain an understanding of why 		the artwork and posters were important in the communicating and understanding 	World War I.

Forty, Simon. World War I: A Visual Encyclopedia. London: PRC, 2002. 
	This source was used to get a visual of what World War I fighting was like. This 	was important because it gave a better understanding of the importance of World 	War I artwork and its message. Some background facts on World War I were 		obtained through this book also.

Interview(s):
Smillie, Donna. Online interview. 2 Jan. 2005. 
	The interview with Donna Smilie (a World War I soldier's relative) gave me an 		insight on why the posters and artwork were so important to communicating to the 	people. I also learned of how people understood the artwork from the interview. 		The interview helped me come to my conclusion on my project.

	The website gave facts on why the posters of World War I were so important to 		the people of America. The site also gave me numerous posters that were used 		during World War I that were used to portray the images needed. These posters 		were used on my website to give examples of the importance and the messages the 	posters portrayed.

	This site was a very important source because it had information on why the 		posters of World War I were so important to the British and it had copies of a lot 	of the common posters during the Great War. The posters were used on my site 		and gave me a better understanding of why the posters were important.

	This site had a timeline of the important events in World War I. This was used to 	help me put together a timeline of important events on my website also.

	The book gave me insight on the deatails of World War I on the Western front. 		This information was used for backgroung information on why the artwork in 		World War I was important. Also information from the book was used to create a 	background image of World War I.

Keegan, John. The First World War. New York: Knope, 1999. 
	The book gave facts on the history of World War I which were used to interpret 		how the artwork and posters of World War I would affect people seeign it. The 		book was also used to give me some facts on the background of World War I.

Livesey, Anthony. Great Battles of World War I. New York: Macmillan, 1989. 
	The book was a great source of information about the more well known battles in 	World War I and provided pictures from the time of the battles. The battles were 	thrown into great detail which was good because the information was incorperated 	into the background information of World War I. Also a greater understanding of 	the importance of artwork in World War I was established.

MacDonald, Lyn. 1914. New York: Atheneum, 1988. 
	This source had information on the first months of World War I. The information 	from his book was used to gain a further understanding of why the artwork in 		World War I was so important. Background information on World War I was 		obtained through this source.

	The site gave me informal facts on Bernard Meninsky's life and the importance of 	his artwork. A sample of his artwork was obtained through the website. The 		importance of his portrayal of World War I through his artwork was also taken 		from the information on his website.

	This site gave me information on Charles Jagger and his artwork. The importance 	of his artwork to the public was depicted in the site along with sample artwork. A 	short biography gave facts on his life and importance in the understanding through 	his World War I artwork.

	This source gave me information on the infamous World War I artist, Christopher 	Nevinson. The sight was used to get facts in order to write a short biography on 		him for the website. It also gave me insight on his paintings of World War I and 		what they represented.

	The site gave an overview of the basic facts of World War I. It had a Who's Who 	Directory giving information on some of the more noted people in World War I. It 	had information on infamous artisits in World War I which was used on my site to 	create a small Who's Who of my own.

	This source gave me facts on the artwork of Eric Kennington. I was able to get a 	sample of his work from this site. A short biography on Eric Kennington was 		given on the site and was used to interpret his life in the Who's Who on my 		website.

	From this source I obtained suffecient information on the World War I artist, John 	Singer Sargent. I was able to get a picture sample of his works. There were some 	facts about John Singer Sargent listed on the site which was used to interpret some 	facts onto the Who's Who on the webpage.

	This source gave me facts on Muirhead Bone and his paintings. I was able to have 	a view of why his paintings and sketches were important and I was able to obtain 	a photocopy of his works.

	The website gave me insight on Paul Nash who was an important artist in World 	War I. The site gave me background information on Mr. Nash that I interpreted 		into my site in the Who's Who section. The site gave me facts on why his 		paintings were so important.

	The website gave my background information on Percy Wyndham Lewis and his 	artwork. I was able to obtain a picture of him through this site also which was 		used for my website's Who's Who. Also some of the information provided gave 		me insight on how his artwork was communiated through the people that led them 	to understand the points of view.

	The site was able to give me links to other sites that had more information on the 	World War I countries and the art involved in World War I. The site also had an 		image archive for World War I which was used to add pictures for better grasping 	of the Great War's artwork.

	The source gave me background information on Stanley Spencer. A picture of 		Stanley Spencer was obtained from this site which was used on my webpage in 		the Who's Who section for artists in World War I. I also got a sample of one of his 	most noted pieces of artwork and was given facts on why it was so important.
